Re: Whistling Cave - Hive puzzle

I read thru the threads on the lever puzzle but I still cannot get it to work - any hints on solving? Very blunt spoiler below... Start at the westernmost lever, on on the northernmost (top) row...flip the first one, leave the middle one alone, then flip the third one. On the bottom row, flip the m...

Level caps...

I confess I know very little about coding, but isn't it possible to make experience levels open-ended, rather than stopping at 20, or 40, or whatever it is dependent on the game you're playing?

Do you have to kill EVERYONE everyone, or just everyone in the keep to get that?

Just finished the game...

...and I have two things to say:

1) Enjoyed both the "good" and "bad" endings, the animated bad ending was extremely well done. And the good ending sets up well for Book II.

2) Basilisk Wrangler, quit wasting time reading this and get to work on Book II, dammit!

He deserves it anyway, if you've done his quest... ;) I was hoping for something to the effect of: When you return to Aridell after delivering the letter, the town's in a dither because Brother Michael has dragged off by the authorities, with a new priest now in town...that gave cheaper healing! Ah...

Thanks for the tip...but my only character at the moment can only cast Charm level 1...not good enough to appease Brother Michael.

Oh well, when I need those items, he deserves a good thumping anyway...

Aside from applying real-world biology to imaginary creatures, that's a good argument. I counter with this, however: Traditionally, undead creatures such as skeletons and zombies are animated through clerical means, ie "magic"...surely that would be the "energy" that gives the cr...

Hmm...not a bad fix. Or maybe it detects life energy in the living and magic energy in the undead.

And a few monsters should have Predator Sight as a feature of their own, like the poltergeists and other undead. They shouldn't have penalties for fighting in the dark.

A few flaws in the Predator Sight spell...

...in that a few monsters probably should NOT show up when using it. As it states, it allows the character to see monsters in the infrared spectrum. I think a few monsters, such as walking corpses, skeletons, and poltergeists should not be visible with the spell, as they'd be at room temp or close t...
