Re: Which Book II ad works best?

I didn't vote either. Put things into perspective! What audience are you aiming at? If you are an old gamer such as I, add 2 caught my eye. The lone warrior struggle has its appeal. If you are familiar with Book 1, Adds 2 & 3 would probably get more hits. If you are trying for the younger set or...

Re: The Armor Quandry

One suggestion that I did not implement for Book II , but I think would be more appropriate for Book III , is skills rating requirements for armor based on material and armor type, so a copper chainmail jerkin may only have a minimum requirement of Heavy Armor 5 to wear, but a Dwarven Steel Chest P...

Re: COMPREHENSIVE Book III 'Wishlist' (List form)

apart form crafting, special armour is a nice quest opportunity.like: 1.a moral choice, save civilians or get a hefty sum from slave traders 2.treat civillians good (costs time and money) - or bad 3.good treatment - one of them appears to be a skilled craftsman with sad story 4.help craftsman rebuil...

Re: Wish List

Wait... was that thank-you for the solo Eschalon, or for the eventual party-gameplay post-Eschalon? Or both? Both! Keep Eschalon a solo game as it started out. The Next Game series can be party based up there with Icewind Dale or whatever. I have played and enjoyed both types. I could be wrong howe...

Re: COMPREHENSIVE Book III 'Wishlist' (List form)

I think some of your earlier suggestions are probably beyond the realm of the Eschalon engine/game system. But I like some of the following: Alchemy ingredients Should be area specific. Mandrake root should be found in boggy areas. Ectoplasm should be found in grave yards, closer to piles of bones ...

Re: Finished Book 2 as a Mage (spoilers)

Possibly BW Droped another hint in dropped journal pages refering to Dwarves an resembling the Orakur? It wasn't that they resembled them physically, but that their runes were similar. Also both seem to be underground in their lifestyles. AH! a bit of a red herring. Will have to wait and see what B...

Re: COMPREHENSIVE Book III 'Wishlist' (List form)

Overhaul the system For the Alchemist and Mage vs Fighter. In the real world a fighters have to practice their skills with wepons and have to keep practicing least they loose their edge. During Rest Periods fighters must also maintain the armour and wepons they use and forage for bits of food or ite...

Re: Wish List

My memory says, solo in Book 3 I'm pretty sure that BW has said that Book 3 will remain solo, as well. I did stumble across a very early post from the Book 2 forums where BW had mentioned that Book 2 was likely to be party-based, so I'm guessing that the idea was in general just dropped for the Esc...

Do you know if for a fact ? ;) if you do it would be a one huge spoiler for book3 and our lives ...better start growing my head and eyes right now...lol :D About the future, present and past - there are so many theories that there is no point in arguing, some even say there is no future and everyth...

Re: How to blow up a Powder Keg?

You will need more kegs of powder the further you get into the game!
There are many treasures and areas locked away behind walls that may be blown up!

Have fun finding them all!

Re: Is Book II Easy or Hard??

It all depende which set of rules you play by. Personally I have had a blast trying several characters with varying skill sets and various difficulty levels. The next poll should be "Did You Get Your Moneys Worth"? Think about how much you pay going out for a movie these days and you don't...

Re: Feedback on Book II so far

I have just read this series of thoughts and have to laugh. I have found after my second run through that everything in the abilities and character atributes are connected, whether in generating more hit points, having a bit more resiatanct to attacks or even the pace at which Mana points are regene...

What version are you playing "1.01" or "1.02"?
I had the same problem with "1.01" but it has not surfaced in my copy of "1.02".
