I think the orakur are shameless rip-offs from Vahnatai of Avernum game series. Both look like aliens, live deep underground, have superior technology and have problems with renegade members of high status.

More sandbox. More caves and locations to search. The game had lots of almost empty maps which only served as time sinks. Put more hidden treasures and npcs there.

Like best? The isometric view combined with nice graphics. Isometric rpgs are almost extinct.

I've visited the mage 3 times. 1st I hadn't unlocked the certain dialog with the mage and just emptied his chest. Second time I got the dialog but then his chest was empy already. 3rd time I went there for fun and the chest was still empty. I got the widget.
