Re: I'm bored. Here's a new concept art shot for our next game...
I was away from this forum for well over two years and now when I came back, I was very happy too see that BW has been very busy creating new worlds. Best of luck to this project, and the concept art looks really cool!

Re: Difficulty
I like a game that gives you a good challenge. But if the game is ultra difficult from the beginning to the end, then there is a chance that I get bored and don't want to finish the game. I don't have many hours in a month that I can put into gaming, so when I have that free time, I want to enjoy in...

Re: Book III Release Date
Can't wait for friday! One question though, at what time exactly will the game be available?

Too many game studios seem to just skip proper alpha/beta testing nowadays. I'm so happy that BasiliskGames is not one of those studios. Congratulations BasiliskWrangler and all the alpha/beta testers out there!BasiliskWrangler wrote:A round of applause to our Alpha/Beta testers.

Re: Your First Character Playing Book III?
I generally start with a fighter (swords normally) who buffs with some magic. Me too! Years ago I used to play RPGs with pure magic users, but that was almost always quite hard and not much fun. Can hardly wait - only 11 more days! That assumes, of course, that the Mac version comes out at the same...

Excellent ideaIJBall wrote:Not only am I avoiding most of the "previews" - I'm even starting to toy with the idea of not coming to these forums, at all, from about Feb. 1 until I play through Book III for the first time!

Re: 3rd Strike Preview
For the first time ever, I'm really doing all I can to avoid previews. And I don't really know why. Normally, I'd get all the info I could and buy only several weeks after the release. Now I'm planning to buy Book III as soon as it comes out.

Re: Where are my screen shots?
Did you check the folder with your character save files? Mine were in there. Forgive me if this is an old question, but where would that be? Said files for Book 1 are easy enough to find but can't find anything except the icon to launch the game and the folder it sits in for Book 2. Have you checke...

Re: Book III Release Date
I like Steam as a service. It works great. But I prefer getting my games directly from the developer when it's possible.

Re: The story thus far...
When I played Book II, I always thought that the Orakur folks are from outer space. And I secretly hoped that we could get some cool futuristic stuff in the next Eschalon game. In my opinion, light sabers and flying saucers are not that far away from mind control, fire balls and teleportation. But I...

Re: Which music title in "Books of Eschalon" is your favouri
I just listened through all the songs from the music folder of Book I. My favourites were the main theme and the "battle loop" song. I need to reinstall Book II and check out its songs. I have no memory of what they were like. And normally, I play games with music turned off. I usually lik...

Thank you all for your very nice comments!
Tonight, I'm going to start playing Book I. Interesting to see how long it takes to complete it.

Re: A message to all of you
You mentioned Book II, but have you played Book I? If not, I would certainly suggest it. I hate admitting it, but I have not yet played Book I. I do own it. I bought it in last May. I immediately installed it, but never got beyond that. It's hard to choose what to play when you keep all your games ...
