Re: Combat casting weight

Yeah, the formula appears to be STR/3 (rounding down) for spell casting weight allowance. With a STR of 42, I could have up to 14lbs equipped and still cast.

Re: The rarest of the rare

Yeah, I sorta asked about this earlier, too (http://basiliskgames.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=9108). The only Epic items I've found/seen so far are: Epic Intellectus Ancient Dragon Skin Skullcap Category: Light Armor Base Armor Rating: 8 +4 Intelligence +4 Wisdom +4 Concentration Weight: 1.8...

Re: Code for Wizardtorium

Really? It was written somewhere on the floor? I just cast a Revel Map spell while standing in front of the lock and it was literally written as plain as day in the area on the map NW of where my character was. I had no idea it was on the floor. Heh.

Re: Wanted Mods List

I'm basing my mod off the sign by the impassable gate at the end of level 2 that says that the entrance to level 3 is closed, and that it's closed for a reason. It begs the questions, "Why? What's down there that they're so afraid of?" Hmm ... A mine. Dwarves digging deep (too deeply ...?...

Re: Maximum Exp?

Just reached level 30 and wanted to clarify that while the experience counter may max out at 9,999,999 ... level 30 (Sanctus Incarnate) is achieved after racking up a mere 500,000 exp. Also, I am officially abandoning my attempted genocide of the phoenix and lancer spider populations of Warlord's Pa...

Re: Epic Items?

No, these items were definitely prefixed with the word "Epic". I only ever saw them on sale from the Macross Point Weapon/Armor trader. Like other magical/rare items, they had a glowy outline, but it was kind of a pinkish/rose (as opposed to blue for moderate and purple for rare). They bot...

spam. Spam. SPAM. Humbug!

That reminds me ... I keep forgetting to try out that Ultima 6 Project thing that was done with the Dungeon Siege engine.

Epic Items?

Has anyone else ever seen any Epic items other than the boots or helm (both light armors) and aside from any of the named weapons?

Re: rogue trainer

Yeah, there's little love for rogue-types in Book III. No trainer at all for Hide in Shadows, Move Silently or Skullduggery. Also no trainers for Divination, Dodge, Repair (I think), Spot Hidden, Piercing Weapons, Thrown Weapons or Unarmed (which kinda irritated me as I was holding on to the respect...

Re: Bitterstig bow

Going by how that quest plays out (presuming you don't just kill him outright, of course), I'm pretty sure the answer is yes (unless he's in the same class as Lucky, but I don't think that's the case).

Re: Enemy Armor

I played a fighter proficient in bludgeoning my first time through and I definitely agree that Devastating Blow is a handy little feat. One thing to be aware of, though, is that if you use it on an enemy, save your game and then reload it (before killing said enemy), the effect of D. Blow is lost (i...

Yeah, I've seen both fused and non-fused show up in chests/barrels, but never in any loot drops from enemies.

Shoot, I didn't know Demon Oil would take out fences either!

Re: Just a thanks...

BW: You've got my thanks as well. I only found the Eschalon series about a year ago (and burned through the first two in about a month). I've been lurking the forums since then, though, keeping my ear to the ground for Book III. Tried to stay up late enough on 2/13 to see if it was released before I...
