Re: upgrading from 1.03 to 1.05 for Mac
Er...I'm sure I downloaded the original version from Basilisk Games, but I have no idea which link I used. Does it matter? Will I need a new registration code?
I'm on dial-up, so I have good reason to want to get the download right on the first try.

Re: hammerlorne mine level 1
No, you have to go through the monster room. Notice the two torches on the wall? The wall between them is not solid; you can walk right through it. If you do it in parry mode, you shouldn't take too much damage. Or use invisibility or chameleon or whatever you have available. You should probably put...

Re: New Skill - Fletching
Except that swords and spells are not consumable items, and in Eschalon, arrows are. You'd have to be careful to avoid making it into another cash cow, but I don't see anything wrong with giving rangers a way to augment the arrow supply, if that's how they want to spend their skill points. Besides, ...

If you're patient, you can lead them one at a time to Fletcher's Grove, where Hunter will take care of them for you.KillingMoon wrote:The problem is only when the wolves are spotting you too soon and you're finding yourself surrounded already before you've come to the writ.

The sword isn't in a chest. It's hanging on a wall in the mayor's house, which is just outside of town--the one with the well in the backyard. You have some choices as to how you get it.

I think you'd remember if you'd solved that puzzle. And it's unlikely you could have done it at level 1, just because it takes a little while to assemble the things you need.

Aldbeski, do you have a screenshot of your stats? I'd love to know how someone does 649 damage in one strike!

One thing that can help is having the Alchemy ability high enough to imbue the strong +3 bonuses on armor/weapons - the base value will jump pretty high, to the point that the armor your wearing will be worth quite a bit (to say nothing of reselling equipment back to resellers - I'd often put at le...

Buy or make some potions of Greater Protection and take off your shoes and pants. Seriously. You won't take as much damage as your gear will. It wouldn't hurt to have some fire-resistant gloves or body armour--these do show up in the Picaroon Isle shop from time to time. If you want to go the magic ...

Here's a good use for it: http://a.imageshack.us/img825/5179/spid1.jpg That lets you kill a few, then go back out and rest before you kill a few more. They won't follow you out unless they see you. Of course, if you want them to follow you out and wreak havoc on the townsfolk, you can do that: http:...
