Re: The Unanswerable Questions

4. Why are people incapable of using the search query? I have no idea, but this is a good question. Hopefully someone will be able to answer it. More times than not, I have found the search function to be useless. Most of my search attempts come up zip. In browsing the forum, I read about a topic, ...

Re: Tangletree ossuary

Yeah! That was it: I wasn't moving BACK far enough to "see" the lever. Thanks for the help. I've been stopped by that same gate for 5 days.

Re: Tangletree ossuary

Yep, tried that. Either side of the space just in front of the gate is a black square and I can't move to those. A step back and left gives me the same "obscured" message. Is that adjacent square supposed to be something other than black and unusable? Is my game "broken?" That's ...

Re: Tangletree ossuary

I've killed everything inside the crypt. I've been around the back to the left to the gate but can't figure out how to open it. I've looked at the rings on the wall in the tunnel but my cursor doesn't cahnge on any of them. I've opend the chest and found 2 shelves with items on them. How do I get a...

Re: Basilisk use Plimus to process payments :-(

I once had a problem and they took most of the week to answer. Then it was basically "can't help you, ask somebody else." Thanks for nothin' creeps.

Re:

When I was beta testing using my MacG4, the town speed was slow as you say in all the towns. But everywhere else it was normal. Even in the towns if there were few npc's moving around it would speed up a bit but once more were visible the speed would go back down. Workable and you get to practice r...

Re: F12 key in New Character setup.

The keyboard I'm using (not the original) uses the F12 key to open the CD/DVD drive. I hate it, but for now I have to make do with this. So I couldn't use your F12 either.

Re:

Does ESC give you a yellow highlight around the options button but not open the window? That happened to me after I created a new character, died before I saved, and created a new character without leaving the game. This was in full-screen mode. Both ESC and clicking with the mouse only highlighted...

Re: PowerPC version of Book II?

I've seen a lot of games in the past year or so that this G4 won't run, but there's no way I'm gonna buy a new machine just to run a game. Sometimes I can't play because I have a PPC, rather than Intel. Other times it's the 1.25 processor. And one that I actually bought, only to find out they don't ...

Re: "mypic.png" - where do you put it?

Never mind. I just went to their website and easily found the "Contact Us" link -- game 'em a piece of my mind. Have you considered NOT selling through somebody who sells your product in an inferior packaging? Probably you can't afford to back out of a contract right now, but avoid it with...

Re: "mypic.png" - where do you put it?

I have the Macgamestore version too, and it would seem the packaging, as you call it, will prevent my attempts to change the sounds in the .wav files. I had read on the forum that somebody had done this for fun, and I had rather hoped to get rid of at least one noise that really bugs me. Is there a ...

Re: Travel Systems

I personally do not have a problem with having multiple travel systems, multiple ways to reach a specific location, or locations that can only be reached using a certain type of transportation. I agree. Quick travel is easy, but having to walk to the ferryman is more realistic. I would think, thoug...

Re: Things you'd like to see in Book II User's Manual

I'd very much like to see the underlying math, or at least some/most of it, but I realize I probably wouldn't get that. Item lists aren't necessary, nor spell lists (provided you can get the relevant spell information in-game), but knowing in advance what the sword skill does in comparison with the...

Re: Things you'd like to see in Book II User's Manual

all too often now manuals are just tiny little books with only gameplay basics. Not that you really need a book for gameplay basics games are so dumbed down and easy now. Nah, dummies play this game too, and WE need somebody to hold our hands until we can figure out how to stand and walk. Don't omi...

Re: Things you'd like to see in Book II User's Manual

Assuming that you want to make more or less the same use of forums as with Book I, why not just say in the Manual that they are available, and indicate the range of uses (desperate to argumentative) they can be put to -- that way the Manual itself could be kept quite short. Ooh, bad idea. I find th...
