I just got Destroyer tonight with my level 17 fighter. I leveled up to 17 during the fight against the guards. I ran to the narrow hallway and use demon oils, leatherskin and haste potions to take out the guards.
Sorry but no pictures.

Re: Problem with giant's head quest
Have you gone to the Underground Repository? That might put you on track. The giant head quest is for asking for the goblin key that Erubor quests you to get. If you can't get the quest chain then there is a topic on getting a 4th goblin key that will allow you to finish the game. Actually now that...

Problem with giant's head quest
So I visited Erubor in Shadowmirk, and he told me to find my brother in Vela. The problem is, my brother was killed during the fight. Now I can't get the "retrieve the giant chieftain's head" quest. I went to Baron's Thicket and got the giant's head, but the giant leader won't talk to me. ...

Re: What skill should I learn next?
What do you guys think about using shields? I've never used them before. I just cleared the crypt where you find your amulet, and found two bronze shields, armor rating 4.

What skill should I learn next?
My current character is a no-magic fighter. Right now I'm level 4, specializing in swords and heavy armor, also with alchemy (found the book), cartography level 5 (trained), pick locks level 2 (with +3 bonus gloves). I was thinking about learning archery on my next level-up, which will help in the l...

Weapons in Book II - and a suggestion
Have any changes been made to the weapons in Book II? I read somewhere on here that short-bladed weapons and throwing weapons have been changed a bit, but what about the rest of the weapons? My suggestion is regarding weapon choices in Book II. Once thing that bothered me about Book I was that Fight...

Re: Very Strange Bug
No I didn't have a saved game before that. I saved it right after I talked to Lilith and they showed up right after that. Here's what I did. I quick-travelled to border town, walked through the forest, and slowly picked off the bees using Level 6 Firedart. It took a while, but my character leveled u...

Very Strange Bug
Hi guys, I am playing through Book 1 again. I just spoke to Lilith and she told me to kill the hive of bees in the forest. So I walk down the path to the fork in the road, and there are literally over 20 bees that have spawned there. There are so many that I can't walk through them. I tried walking ...

Reusing saved characters from Book 1?
Hi guys,
I just got this idea. Book II would allow us to reuse saved characters that we used to beat Book I. The game could automatically scale up the difficulty since we would be starting with higher-level characters. Some other games let you do this. Your thoughts?

Game programming
Hi, Can anyone recommend some good 2d game engines? I'm taking a class right now which has forced me to re-learn C/C++ after not using it for over a year. I also have experience in Java and C#. I'm just looking for something to play around with that will help me get back into programming. Thanks :)

Just beat the game - my ideas
I just finished Book 1. It's a really good game. I played as a ranger and it wasn't too hard once you get to level 10 or so. Here are my suggestions for book 2. 1. More variety in music. Having more music for different cultures, towns, climates and more than one battle theme. 2. More variety in enem...

Re: Can't defeat thugs in north Thaermore
Thanks guys. I took all your tips and pulled it off by wandering around the area and slowly picking off the thugs. After clearing the area and finding Brandon, I am now level 6.

Can't defeat thugs in north Thaermore
Hi guys, I officially bought the game last night. I'm playing as a level 5 ranger. I'm in the north parish area (two areas north of the Aridell area). There is a place called the "shortcut" path in the woods where you are ambushed by 4 thugs demanding money. At the level I'm at right now, ...
