Thanks for the update, BW! I still lurk here occasionally waiting for the next game. ...and still replay the old ones when I can!

Re: Linux Glibc problem
Stephane, (My apologies, the limited iPad keyboard cannot provide the necessary accents for your name.) My Ubuntu horked out pretty quickly, so I ended up installing in Windows and it ran fine. I was hoping to spend some time looking at it this weekend but my employer has me on another dang airplane...

Re: A Suggestion Regarding "Minimum Hardware Requirements"
So with the BlitzBasic engine being single-threaded, will it really gain all the efficiencies from a multi-core processor? That said, my lowly laptop from the late mesozoic ran III full screen a LOT better than it did II full-screen. WIndows-mode worked quite nicely, however.

Re: Doesn't work with XP SP3
Corlain, I don't think HMM was attempting to be flippant. Maybe -- but in all honesty that was my initial reaction as well. That said, it works perfectly fine for me in my XPSP3 VM, but I'm having all sorts of issues in my UBUNTU box. Come to find out the libaries arent...oh nevermind. The point was...

BW, I know you've been busy with the servers being down, and answering all sorts of technical support questions and hints in the forums. I just wanted to let you know how much your and your team's hard work has been appreciated. I've been a fan since Eschalon I, and as I mentioned on Facebook, this ...

Re: Chest inside rock near Forsaken monument
I loved it...came in quite handy for the longest time.
Oh, and with a high enough Alchemy and the right reagents, you can throw additional properties on those named weapons to make them even better. *THAT* is cool! (Well, ok, to me...)

Good call, Kreador... I usually pawn all my charm-related stuff for much needed cash...(Arrows get expensive, especially if you miss.) Maybe I'll hang on to 'em and steal for my arrows...better return-on-investment!

Re: Uses of Move Silently and Hide in Shadows
To his original point tho, if you're in shadow and silent, there's still no surprise double-damage super-secret bonus on attack, right?

I'm in the same boat. You'll have to finish the game without the quest getting solved. A similar thing happened to me with a farmer who asked me to clear out the nest. He caught me stealing from him and I had to kill him. Almost like we need an "Abandon Quest" button on the Quests book UI...

Re: Treasure Map Found In EastWillow.
It resists bashing, lockmelt, trapkill, and I have a 1% chance of picking it with my fighter... Looks like I will have to go back with a pure Rogue character that I have saved in a different save-game...
