Re: Basilisk Update 2016
Sorry to whine, but if you've switched to Unity, can you still keep laptop users in mind? In my experience, Unity is the great battery eater for no good reason. I got better performance and battery life while playing xcom (1 not 2, but that was pretty hard on a system too) than when playing $random_...

Re: Book III Release Date
@noname: that's sad - have you considered satellite internet? There are tons of interesting indies that are not and will never be available on disks. Personally I'll get Book 3 from GoG. Getting the game directly from the developer is nice... but then you have to keep track of all those accounts on ...

Re: Speaking of GOG...
That would be "prepurchase" (like Guild Wars 2 did) not preorder

Speaking of GOG...
They have a RPG promotion this weekend. I ended up rebuying both Book 1 and Book 2 just to have a spot to always redownload them without looking for my cd key (Book 2) or emailing Basilisk (Book 1)
Edit: so where's the Book 3 preorder button on GoG?

Re: Wendy's Brother's Treasure
Speaking of bronze, any hints on getting a full bronze suit for that puzzle when you're pretty advanced in the game and the vendors don't carry bronze any more?

Re: Crash with full screen and multiple monitors
I'm on a nvidia card indeed and i've had trouble with WoW-through-wine (fixed by forcing a resolution in its config files) and Starcraft 2 (not-so-fixed by using the virtual desktop option). Hmm research opportunity. Will download whatever other native linux games you mentioned that have demos and s...

Crash with full screen and multiple monitors
Ubuntu 10.04 AMD64. Game happily runs in windowed mode, also happily runs in full screen if only one monitor is connected. If both monitors are connected -> segmentation fault. I guess it sees the monitors as one 3200(1280+1920) x 1080 desktop and something divides by zero. Can provide a core dump o...

Re: How much play time will Book II have?
Here's an interesting point that all players should understand: in Book I , most of the side-quests that you run across are generally in a "linearly difficult" progression- meaning, by the time you get the quest, you should be able to complete it based on your character level. Book II is ...

Re: Discussion: possible alternatives to the saved game
Checkpoints? So if you have only 10 minutes to play you basically can't play because you don't have time to get to the next checkpoint?
Saving your game at any time is for r/l convenience not for game realism...

Re: Weapons in Book II - and a suggestion
Unfortunately in Morrowind/Oblivion with that skill improvement system I (at least) always ended up caring more about how my skills will improve on next level up than about playing the game. It may be more "realistic" but it ends up less fun IMO.

Re: Basilisk use Plimus to process payments :-(
Speaking of which... although i didn't have a problem when downloading from Plimus, i didn't see at any point during the purchase that they were going to charge me VAT. I'm not even sure they should, because they're certainly not located in my country and as far as i know sales abroad are exempt fro...
