Re: Just finished book iii (the ending...)

Finished the game a couple of weeks ago. I liked it but i liked Book II better. But the ending... well that just left me ”WTF, is this IT?”
It would have been nice to fight the dragon.

Eschalon-like RPG for Linux?

Hi I'm looking for games similar to Eschalon that would run on Linux. I don't use Windows, don't own a Mac so only Linux for me. Until Book III launches i'd like to play similar games (played Book II twice in a row in the last weeks and for the third time since the game launched and i'd like somethi...

Re: Support for Linux

I still use Ubuntu 11.04. I loathe the new GNOME and Unity. A major impediment for you developers would be going from GTK 2.x to GTK 3.x other than that, I guess it's just a question of taste.

Lantern display error in v 1.05

I'm playing Male Druidic Magic User on Ubuntu Linux 11.04, game version 1.05. This following display error appears whenever I pun the mouse on a lantern in my inventory:

Previous to this I played another character and all seemed OK.

Re: I am really disappointed with book 2.

I tend to disagree. I am currently playing the game for the second time and I find it very well balanced. There's plenty of things to kill. More of those and you'd be outnumbered to the point you'd be unable to finish the game. As for the quests, I found them satisfying. Maybe one or two more wouldn...

Where is my dragon skeleton?

I am playing Book II again after I played it in 2010 for the first time. I even made a review for it in Ubuntu User Magazine. Upon re-reading what I wrote, I came upon a screenshot I took: http://i.imgur.com/xzifQ.png I can't seem to remember how to get there. I have a slight recollection of it bein...

Re: Needed Fixes, and Suggestions, for v1.06: LIST Form

Just a couple more bugs. I don't know if they have been mentioned before, but here goes: If you have more then one Citizen's Writ on you, you can't separate them with right-click. You can't pick just one of them and throw it in a barrel or chest and keep the other two. C+R and wait a couple of secon...

Re: Eschalon: Book II Reviews!

You're welcome. A game like Eschalon deserves decent coverage. Ubuntu User Magazine is published by Linux New Media AG, the same people that make Linux Magazine, Linux Pro Magazine, Linux User and Easy Linux. It is a printed magazine that's distributed all over the world in several languages. Of wha...

Re: Eschalon: Book II Reviews!

I did a four pages long piece on EB2 in Ubuntu User Magazine. The next issue (due to appear next month) begins with this article. My little tribute to the game. I'm not allowed to show you the rest of the text but here's the first draft page that was sent to me today. Basilisk should prepare for a b...

Re: a couple of question regarding the game

Try north of Everdale. Red Wolves and outlanders spawn like crazy there. Good for XP and making some money off of the items they drop.

Re: Talushorn doors

That would be a good idea. I managed to finish the game but I wanted to do it in grand style (aka. kill everything that moves in Talushorn) and I couldn't do that because of those gates. :)
