Do you mean a site like Kickstarter?Evnissyen wrote:

I like the graphical style; reminds me of the SSI games' combat mode.

Woot! My roguelike is on 8BitFunding!
Ok, it's not really an RPG but rahter a roguelike...However BasiliskWrangler suggested I post it here so here goes: In response to all the positive response Cardinal Quest has received (>15,000 visitors, mostly within a couple of days), I have decided to try to get some funding in order to finish up...

Re: RPGs that influenced me the most...
There are many more RPGs that I enjoyed playing, but these games really affected me. Anyone else care to share? * Fallout 1 & 2 * Baldur's Gate 1 & 2 * Arcanum I tried to play some of the older RPG's like Pool of Radiance, Bard's Tale, the Ultimas, Eye of the Beholder & Lands of Lore bu...

Re: The Age of Decadence
The game looks absolutely awesome, but it seems doubtful it will ever be released. It reminds me a bit of Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader , a good but flawed commercial RPG. It started out really good but after a few hours got a lot more thin on content. The lesson to learn here is I think to know...

Re: Avernum 6 & Genforge CD
I refuse to play his games until he either lessens the price to around 20 dollars, or adds WALKING ANIMATIONS. For the love of god! Is it that hard? As somebody who tried it in his own games - yes it is! It is a lot easier to do pixel graphics than it is to do animations, and you just need a ton of...

Re: Wayfarer Alpha 82809
It's a very neat game, still early in development though.
I like the graphical style a lot, it merges retro appeal with 3d perfectly, and it's quite clear what every sprite represents.

Re: What was the first RPG you ever played?
The only RPGs I knew were Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest, all sorts of JRPGs that I absolutely detested. I had a somewhat similar experience - I don't remember what my first RPGs were, but the first one I liked was the first Fallout. I was quickly consumed by a passion for such games and have playe...

Re: What was the first RPG you ever played?
Now I know you all are saying "pssshaw, those are just console games (aside from U4, of course)," but I've spent far more time playing cRPGs than anything else... and at the time, the console games I had looked better and played easier than the PC counterparts. That and most of the comput...
