Re: Pillars of Eternity II swipe from Eschalon ;-)
@mercy: I believe BW has stated in the past that the new RPG will be 3D.

Re: The Sanctum: Mod for powerful wizards
Wow, I would have never got that, even if I had a magic user. Hehe!
My poor ranger doesn't have enough points in Elemental or INT to be able to cast supernova. But I'll make a note of it for the next time I run through this with a mage character. Thanks!

Re: The Sanctum: Mod for powerful wizards
Yeah, shoot me a PM. I will probably replay this game with a magic-user in the future, but I'm not sure when that will happen. Thanks!

Re: The Sanctum: Mod for powerful wizards
I finally got around to playing this mod (after nearly 2 years!), and I enjoyed it. Unfortunately, I was playing with a ranger-rogue build, but still managed to get pretty far I think. I kept going back to various shops and places looking for more powder kegs and demon oil, but those 2 things alone ...

Oh man! This is pretty stark! I've gotten so used to the other theme. Hopefully you can find a good replacement!

Re: Book II Mod: Return to Bastion Spire
Troy, one last detail almost forgotten. What about the access to the mage's summer cottage ? Thanks. Again, check the readme. It tells you how to get into the summer cottage. (Don't want to repost it here, for fear of spoiling it for someone) Hi Troy. Thank you so much. I will go back to the tomb a...

Re: Book II Mod: Return to Bastion Spire
Hi cariocamatuto, The hints at the end of the readme will help with your first question. The portal IS the devastating weapon. With it, the Taurax can invade Port Kuudad. So you have to destroy it to complete the mod. The Tomb of Chancellors is a secret way through the mountains into Western Thaermo...

Ooh, I like the Eschalon ruleset. I think there were still some ability score and skill balance issues in Book III, but it's probably better to keep refining what you already have than to start fresh. I'm also hoping this means somewhat similar gameplay style. LIKE! Seriously, we need a like button...

Re: Chronicles of Eldwyn
Thanks, guys! @Prismatic Maelstrom: yeah, that's an older screenshot. Those table legs have since been fixed. Good eye, tho! @blatherbeard: the hunger/thirst system shouldn't be too annoying, but I'll find out when some other testers play it. It's not so much about survival, as it is planning. I mai...

Re: Chronicles of Eldwyn
Just a quick update on my project, for those who are interested. I've been busy working on maps and story for the game. Progress was a little slow, since I had several big deadlines at my full-time job that required overtime during the past few months, and I had a 2-week vacation in April. Plus some...

Re: What features would you like in a Sci-Fi RPG?
@Leezar: Agreed about humanoid aliens. I understand why Star Trek and other TV shows and films do that, since it's cheaper to apply a bit of makeup to a human actor than to create some complex puppet or create some expensive CGI creature that looks decent in a live action scene. Fortunately, compute...
