Anyone with Arch linux should use Wine stable from AUR repo:
yaourt -S bin32-wine-stable
It's version 1.0-1 too. Latest bin32-wine gives the error written above.
So far works flawlessly with Ati Catalyst 10.4.

Re: incredibly slow
May it be that Mandriva 2009 is not using the nvidia proprietary driver by default? It's probable that you dont have DRI acceleration enabled through it.

Well, at least there will be a Linux version. That's something rare. Hopefully this may change if even more Linux users will be around.joebobmcgee wrote:Us Linux users always have to be so patient. It's no wonder we're a grumpy lot. Hell I'd be willing to test it under Wine.

Re: The Witcher: Enhanced Edition (Director's Cut)
I'm currently playing. Bought the boxed version of the Enhanced Edition. It's really fun, naughty, action packed, lots of scripting, story, beauty. Sure buy here for the retail version when it dropped to around ~15$ here.

NWN is just nice, especially with the expansions and the multiplayer thing. Also one of the few RPGs with native linux client. Sure buy here. Bought the diamond edition years ago.

Re: Who's getting Dragon Age?
Finished this one a few weeks ago. Really nice, especially great with the mimics and voiceovers. It was a pleasure to play it through and was interesting and diverse enough to keep me going without feeling the usually occuring "getting tired of it". I begin to like the quick travel system ...

Where can one apply? I would be glad to test the Linux beta version when there's need for that.

64-bit linux, Intel VGA hack to resolve frequent crashes

It started to be playable. But on my end the openGL libraries (libGL) produces frequent crashes with the mesa/inte...
