Re: penelope

I've explored Crakamir extensively and Penelope still doesn't have any extra dialog options. Indeed, I've even been to the spire but she doesn't seem to have anything interesting to say.

Re: Eschalon save directory re-broken in 1.05.

Yeah, I recently downloaded the demo and was surprised that it used a non-hidden directory. Then, I paid for the whole game and it had no trouble loading the games the demo had saved, so I didn't think much of it. So, as long as you use version 1.05 of either demo or full game, it seems OK.

It is also a bug that there's no way in the game's user interface to distinguish a skill book I've read from one I have...

What I first noticed was that I could buy a skill book from a store and read it for the skill points. Subsequent readings only displayed the text and didn't add any skill points, which ...

Re: No Sound?

Using padsp worked fine for me on Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic, but it is odd that this game still uses OSS, as Alsa (libasound) has been the most common way to play sound on Linux-based systems for many years. Playing sound via libasound is probably the best approach these days, since it can work well for bo...
