Woohoo! Got the Destroyer title. Actually, with enough mana and health potions, that wasn't that difficult either. The ending cinematic was actually the same as if you give the crux to Grumak - I guess I was expecting a different one, like you become the new dictator of Thaermore, leading all into a...

Really? Three? I thought I'd tried all the different conversation options. Ohhh, ha! I hadn't thought of this before, but you can kill the chancelor! Wow, that makes for a really tough ending! I just tried it once and didn't survive. Ok, now I'm really curious to see what happens... <edit>LOL, I mis...

<SPOILERS> Final battle

So I finished the game last night - a good bit of fun. I really enjoyed all the exploration, and the casual feel to the game was refreshing. But I was a little disappointed by the ease of the final battle - even the Taurens were harder than the Goblin leader (Grumak?). Granted, I'm the type who like...

I've had my PPC G5 for a couple years now and it still runs really well. I'd like to get an Intel mac eventually, but I don't have the money for it right now - maybe in a year or two (probably closer to two). So I voted "probably".

Ok weird - I played a number of hours today without a single crash. So I'm not sure what the deal is. One thing to note - all of last night's crashes were all in the same area - the area East of Blackwater. But then I played in that area today and didn't crash, so go figure.

I just had 3 crashes tonight. Until recently (last time I'd played before tonight was a couple weeks ago) I was playing under OS 10.4.11 - then I upgraded on Monday to 10.5.2, and I've of course restarted the computer recently (in fact, I just loaded a recent graphics update - either last night or t...

PC saves on Mac?

I've been playing the PC demo, and I'm wondering if the save files will work on the Mac version?
Really fun game btw. It's nice and relaxing while still being exciting. Lol, so many rpgs (mmos) these days seem frantic and boring...

Ok, guess I'll have to look for a charm spell. At this point I don't really want to go back to a saved game that's before I stole the potion - I've done too much since then.

I agree - sound/music are very important for an overall immersive experience, and I think Basilisk did a great job. I also think they did a good job with the lighting. I was in the cellar last night, and I definitely had a feeling of anxiety wandering around - worried I'd step in the wrong place or ...

Way to change negative reaction?

Ok, so I made a little "experimental" goof - while in the temple of the nearby town, I opened the chest and clicked on the potion. And of course, the cleric saw me and instantly started attacking me. I haven't died from his attacks, but ever since then, he's always been on my hide about th...

Yeah, I was experiencing slow walking as well - basically any time there was a lot to draw on the screen, walking would slow by like half (the difference was really easy to notice when comparing outdoors to dungeons). But thanks to your discovery, once I changed from directx to opengl, speed picked ...

The Mac version is coming but we need to get the Windows version out of the way first. The Intel Mac version is actually up and running just fine right now. We've still got to get the Mac installer done and do a couple weeks of testing. I think the Mac version will be ready to go before Christmas. ...

The demo was only available for Gallifrey to give feedback to Basilisk. I think they said they'd release a demo at the same time they release the full game.

Sounds cool - reminds me of what Baldur's Gate felt like (another game I really liked).

Another question about the demo/game for Gallifrey/Basilisk

Hey I've been following the progress of this game for just a few months, and I'm already pretty excited about it. I read the entire thread on the demo review, and was just about to post my question when I found that Basilisk closed the thread - doh! Hopefully it's not a problem to post another quest...
