Re: Avadon: The Black Fortress
Geneforge5 is one of my favourite,it's really cool to creat a bunch of monsters fighting for you, though I'm not quite into avernum6.I have confidence in Jeff's creativity ,he's a great story-teller ,and the screenshots seem interesting. So I'm looking forward to Avadon.

Re: Completion score, place them here! (press P in game)
I am a major fan of this game. This was not my first run-through, so I wanted a challenge. I managed to complete 10 challenges, leaving out Wealthy Merchant and Jack-of-all-Trades (and the one where you kill 700 things, since I was a pacifist), though it would have been possible to do 12 challenges...

Hidden caches
I wish there could be more hidden caches, maybe in Eschalon3?.They don't need to be very valuable ,I just like the feeling of nice surprises. It adds fun to the long trudge through the dungeons, and kinda like a little break from some intense fights.I still remember when I found a priest cloak in a hid...

Re: Cleric's Problem...
So you're still playing a fighter.why do you need a shield anyway?Shields are always very heavy. You really don't need a shield,as the divinity buffs are powerful enough to protect you. My fighter's doing very fine without a shield.Just cast bless, leather skin and chameleon, and few can hit you. and y...

Re: Feats and Weapon Skills Discussion
Now I recall,in earlier part,I always go finesse mode,so I've forgotten there's a guaranteed attack following parry.Sorry if misleading.

Re: Feats and Weapon Skills Discussion
I played a sword man the first time through, and I find the feat for sword is negligible.with some basic buff, the two-horned thingy has ony16% chance to hit me,and mine 98%.So why do I need parry?I think I'll go bludgeoning or bow the next time. Was it helpful at any point in the game? What would yo...

Re: More money or More quests needed
My problem is I have too much money, and don't know where to spend.I'm carrying 58000 gold, have 60000 value equipment and weapons in stock, not to mention those countless reagents. My advice for making money early is to train your foraging skill to 8 by the trainer ASAP,buy two forage ring, raise you...

Re: Two questions and a little thoughts about the game
My impression is that hybrid is the baseline. All skills are open to all characters. There are no arbitrary restrictions such as "stealthy people cannot use magic" or "if you study magic you cannot learn to use a sword." Magic is powerful in Eschalon and nearly everyone can bene...
