Re: Avadon and Eschalon
Have played avadon some hours, would say half the game, but can´t shake the feeling that the worlds are somewhat " empty " , no offense. Although i like the combat system and the story is surely interesting , it doesn´t give me the sensation of world. If there´s something that the eschalon ...

Re: Unepic... The "Metroidvania" RPG
Goodchoice CB , i knew this game some time ago, but never said anything about it, for the same reason you mentioned. Personally, i like it a lot , it´s fun and addictive. The good points: -A lenghty game , not maybe for 20 hours, but i would say that 1 or 15. -Humorous game. It´s not a cliché history...

Re: First Feature Cut
Yep, i agree ,as BW says, there´s no point in that extra work if the eschalon engine is of no further use.
I have a widescreen , and don´t have any problem playing the game as it is.
Also ,i very like the idea, having book III a little sooner

Re: Load old characters
I am looking forward, however, to seeing one of the enterprising folks around here use the modding tools BW plans to release with Book III and rebuild Books I and II so that the entire world of Eschalon can become one big campaign. That would be fantastic :) All the eschalon world in a single piece...

Re: Whats your favourate roguelike?
I think it could be a commercial success. but it would require to have, not only MANY items , skills , monsters, classes. etc..... It should be CUSTOMIZABLE to the maximum, (think of the old DUNGEON HACK) to have many of it´s options changeable or randomized, number of levels, creature types, caps, ...

Re: trojan horse
That gives me and idea , we could put the "BRICOMANIA" skill in to the game. Tossed out from port kuudad? goblin´s from crackamir won´t let you in?Then make your way in!! Build your own trojan horse ,and make them toss you in!! High level skill has the nuclear reactor trojan horse! don´t l...

Re: COMPREHENSIVE Book III 'Wishlist' (List form)
I would love to see in book III more narrative sequences, i would say that book I had many or at least more sequences than book II , i really liked the explanation in the different situations that help to feel inside the game , to some may not be worth it, but i think it really gives a characterisc ...

Yeah!! A brand new arx fatalis , I liked the first one, only disliked that you can only go up 10 levels, and that just about the final dungeon my game ALWAYS crashed i have never seen the ending!!

Re: Stealth and thievery rant
So I played through Book II. And it was great. But the stealth... goddamnit. I just can´t see BW , programing a walk , job , sleep and leisure time for every npc , in the game ,taking into account the quest prism, a soldier that gets sleeps so you can steal from him, a citizen that exits the town a...

Re: The Armor Quandry
How about we mix a bunch of stuff together... Heavy Armor Skill... I like this idea  i would like to see something like that aplied to shields, for now i don´t see the reason to use it. The only unsolved mistery would be: How in eschalon´s world ,i can get a skill to 50 ??? P.S. I like the wa...

Re: Min-Maxxing & Exploits
The idea is to have less, "Oh, this character is terrible. What am I going to do, meditate my way through the Taurax? BUHLEETED!" How does removing "exploits" or changing trainer behavior fix this? Is the idea is to make trainers and books good enough to save a poor character bu...

Re: Book III - "Official" comments
I agree ,with the idea of working more in the content and doing only a few changes to the engine and game mechanics (rebalancing and correcting skills above all).although it has a more than decent playing time , it just feels too short, and needs more quests and sidequests. If it could be, and requi...
