Heh, ask the Dragon Age players. I'm sure there are a few that could give you some reasons (I'm looking at you, patch 1.03!)macdude22 wrote:Everything on steam is automatically updated upon opening the steam client. Re: ZipCrypto
Actually, it does, since those materials aren't your 'personal' materials. Are you accusing me of stealing them? Uh, no. But just because you bought the right to play the game doesn't mean you own the music that goes with it. That's the whole copyright issue right there. Note: I'm not saying I agre...

Re: Best Weapon / Armor EVER
Actually, someone mentioned before about buying some other items to boost a merchant's gold reserves so you can then sell the big item (the suggestion was Demon Oil flasks, as these are always useful anyway). This isn't a bad idea and it can work for a time, but I think the merchants still need a bi...

Re: Choice of Weapon Enchantments
Depends what you're playing. If you have the mojo, you can add the to hit through magic (or is it damage? Anyway...), so you might want to skip that enchantment. But if you do add to hit and damage, I'd probably go with Cold after that.

That's the resolution of the monitor I play the game on. With regards to the previous poster's comment about playing it on a non-native resolution, that's what I was responding to.

Re: archery for a beginning character
Depending how you set up your character*, no, it's not impossible. But it is expensive. *Mercantile skill investment will help lower prices of other items you need, thus freeing up more cash for arrows. As well, you'll get better prices for items you sell, thus gaining more cash for arrows. Also, yo...

Re: I really don't like the ending [massive spoilers]
You mention playing D&D: do you remember Expedition to the Barrier Peaks ? That blended fantasy and sci-fi. In fact, that's what the main point of the module was. Admittedly, that wasn't one of my favorite modules, and I don't generally like mixing the two genres, but as noted many times before:...

No idea. I'm no code monkey, but I know forums rarely (if ever) mess with the spacing if you use a code box.Evnissyen wrote:Rider: How does setting a 'code' operation around the text keep the forum software from randomly and unpredictably condensing the spacing?

Re: Relationship of bows, torches, shields, and magic
I mean: it seems to me that there're two ways of casting a spell: 1. pronouncing the words, thus calling upon the Spirits of Magickal Spells to execute it, or something, I suppose. 2. just 'knowing' and 'feeling' magic, so that it emerges from your hand or finger, or even your nose, if you merely t...
