I like Fallout 3 more than NW. Better story and I don't like NW:s cowboy theme. NW feels also more unbalanced and I don't mind to tinker with ammo etc.
And why so many games are placed in wasteland? It's quite boring after all. I would love to see more "space opera".

Re: Just a thanks...
Eschalon Book I was the one that bought me back to gaming world. I grew up in 80's and 90's and we played lots with computer with my brother. If games were not too easy I just watched my brother play. Eschalon brought back good old days (but now I was able to play myself).

Yes you need the book to solve this. You'll know when you find it.
But I was not able to solve the riddle even with the book (I'm non-native english speaker too). I found the answer from Steam forum.

Atheistic fighter (swords) is my choice. He will learn some divination and practical skills but fighting is his piece of a cake.

Re: The most noticeable difference ?
As far as I recall Cat Eyes were working differently. Now I have to use some other light source too and CE just boosts the light.
And I feel that there's more unknown objects than before. And identifying them is expensive.

Re: Game Speed
I think it may be sound driver too. In my MacBook (old black one) game is getting slower when sounds change. I switched to Free audio CoreAudio and it seems to work little bit better. OpenAL did not work properly, some sounds were missing.
