Re: weapon damage
See this topic on damage reduction: http://www.basiliskgames.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=3461 All you get is an increasing chance that your armor will take some of the damage instead of you. It isn't really worth it. Stuff like that is so disappointing. Why include a skill if its efficacy i...

Re: Trapped in hammerlorne?
yes, this is standard practice for applications that are not designed for more than one instance at once, such as games. It is very easy to do.xolotl wrote: Yeah, would probably be ideal if it had some locking mechanism to prevent more than one instance.

Re: Trapped in hammerlorne?
I'm genuinely curious as to how you mixed up Hammerlorne with Talushorn. :P It might be that they both end with the sound -orn. I'm genuinely curious about why you're genuinely curious about what is obviously a mistake between two similar sounding names. I haven't even gotten to talushorn in-game y...

Re: Trapped in hammerlorne?
It appears that every single one of my maps was reset. Don't think I'm going to continue playing. We'll see. Do you have more than one save file somewhere close together, there? If you've closed both instances, check a different save file if possible. You may have lost some progress, but not have e...

Re: Trapped in hammerlorne?
xolotl, your character editor was able to teleport me past the gates. Thanks for your help. That's a nice utility, well done.

Re: Trapped in hammerlorne?
I never shot any levers or did anything strange. What I did accidentally once was have two instances of the game running at the same time, both playing the same character in hammerlorne. As a wild guess, this may have produced some oddities. Upon startup, the application should check for whether an ...

Re: Trapped in talushorn?
also note in teh above screenshot that the map isn't filled in for that level - that seems to be another bug, since i did enter that way to begin with. When i take the teleporter to the next level, that isn't filled in either, though I've cleared it.

Trapped in hammerlorne?
In Talushorn, there's a place with two adjacent teleporters which take you to the same place, that other level (3? 4?) that requires the powder keg to advance through. I've been all through that, and the next level, found the bell, and found the exit teleporter... which took me back to the room next...

Re: Lost walking animation
Really not sure. I never turn it off, i just put it into hibernation mode when it's not in use. Modern operating systems are designed for that, and applications shouldn't assume otherwise.

Lost walking animation
When i move my character, she glides instead of animates in a walking motion. It happened spontaneously after I started the game one day, and hasn't gone away. Is this a known bug? I'm on 1.04.

Re: Trainers are flawed
It's revealing that nobody can characterize my side of this discussion with anything other than accusations that it's pure min-maxing, "squeezing every last drop of uberness out of a character", etc. I know it's fun to pretend that stats and character progression don't matter (oh how ironi...
