I tried this too, but with other items. All in all I was very near...

Yes, I've stepped on this pressure plate.

The items were:

1. Ring
2. Axe or Hammer or Demon Oil
3. Charcoal
4. Apple.

Nothing happens.

Also I've tried some other combinations but they seem to be totally incorrect.

I don't think I need special items for these riddles. Acorn and locket are quest items and they are needed for another quests. You'll give them to NPC's.

What items should I place in these four chests?
I've tried almost everything which in my opinion answers the riddles but with no success...

If I save and then load game during combat then:

1. I become "heavily concealed by darkness".
2. If I've drunk Haste potion then after loading I always have 2 attacks (even if I made one attack before saving).
3. After loading (if Demon Oil was thrown) Oil flame is gone.

Just one suggestion: Quest items can't be dropped too.
