I'm new to Linux, how do I open Terminal (console) when I do not have normal access? Keyboard shortcut?
How do I kill the process?

Eschalon BK2 Crashes Laptop on Exit
Eschalon Book 2 v1.05
On: Linux Mint 11 Katya laptop
Did a fresh install of Linux Mint 11 and Eschalon BK2 launches and runs OK.
BUT when I try to [Exit] to the desktop my system freezes. I have to force power-down and restart.
Eschalon BK2 did NOT do this on Linux Mint 10 .
Any ideas :(

Re: Audio Driver in Linux Mint
OK, figured out how to get sound in Linux Mint 10
Loaded the DEV package for OpenAL (libopenal-dev).
Now the Audio Driver list includes many additional options including the OpenAL for Pulseaudio, which works.
Now have sound for Eschalon Book II

Audio Driver in Linux Mint
OK, just installed Exchalon Book 2 on my Linux Mint 10 laptop.
Runs fine EXCEPT no sound :(
Selecting any of the FreeAudio drivers does NOT work. Note that local CFG file says FreeAudio for the driver.
Please, I see all the posts on Pulseaudio "wrappers" (whatever that is).

Re: Compendium of Locations (MASSIVE SPOILER)
This is a massive spoiler so if you don't want to know then leave now.
This is a compendium of every container found in the game, both fixed items and random ones. If nothing is listed after the container then it means it's always or usually empty and I've never seen anything there. Some items are ...

Re: Save/Load rules
Book-2 save-games are in ( WinXP ) C:\Documents and Settings\ your-profile-name \Application Data\Basilisk
By the way, I tried changing the save-game location via the base CFG file, but could not get it to work. Looks like the engineers use non-Windows standard coding that does not accommodate ...

Magic Trainers?
OK, looking at magic.
There are trainers for many skills, but I can't find trainers for magic.
Are three magic trainers or books to pump-up skill points?

You have your opinion, but I did not see your info in the manual. May have missed it.Necromis wrote:whats the issue? All the skills have the same cost to buy. 3 for the first level and 1 there after. Your suggestion is pretty meaningless and wasteful.
But thanks for the answer, it's what I was looking for
