Well, if you find a better shield... I have a Tower Shield that provides +4 Armor Rating right now. I defense of the game, I imagine that adventuring for real with a shield would be a serious pain in the ass, right? I mean, think what it would be like going through a heavy forest or narrow dungeon w...

Unfortunately I found this cave early on and killed the Bandit or whatever he was, outside of the entrance. Now (I SO wish we could have a map notes option) I am trying to find it again. Is it located in the Central Tangletree Forest area correct? I'm ripping my hair out trying to remember where th...

Re: Different armor, same stats?
Because having different icons/names for basically the same items doesn't make sense in my opinion. Why not? Such items are different in appearance, at least, and the variety gives the game world more depth. The fewer items there are, the more often you're going to find exactly the same thing in lo...

I'm not certain, but I think this is intended, the spell gives you a quick look and nothing else. I would say that it makes the utility of this spell fairly low in most cases. It's been helpful in a few dungeons so far. That's possible, but I think it's a poor decision, if so. The idea between the ...

Nothern Crakamir Early? No Terrain
Given the presence of a giant black gate (Mordor reference, much? ;)) I'm assuming one isn't supposed to be able to get into Crakamir too early in the game. I'm also assuming that fact is the cause of this bug: there's a spot on the Northeastern Crakamir map where it is, nonetheless, possible to get...

Thanks for the response. I can't imagine they're related - what sort of mercenaries hide out in Noximander-infested sinkholes - but it is, admittedly, the only place on that map I haven't been. Or solved the #26 pendant quest in BW. I wonder if they are related? They aren't related. I did that one a...

[Spoiler Request] Blackwater - Divine Ore Quest
Where is the group of mercenaries that has the blacksmith's ore? There's a group of mercenaries south of Blackwater, but they're related to a different quest, and I found two more groups in the area immediately to the east of Blackwater (one around some ruined buildings in the south-west corner, and...

I really enjoy the scarcity of gold. It makes me plan out how I want to spend it more that way. Absolutely. It's a too-common obsession of 'modern' RPGs to hand out ridiculously excessive quantities of gold because people apparently like phat lewt. :P Keeping the quantity of cash limited makes the ...
