I've noticed Armageddon Empires, another indie game, receiving considerable favourable publicity over the last month or so. I hope that Eschalon can benefit from the same upon demo/release.

It's definately available via abandonware sites, but not the biggest & most popular, which indicates that it is shovelware.

If you have not played Pools of Darkness either, then I recommend that to you instead (it's the sequal to Pool of Radiance)

Turn based all the way for me. TOEE was the best Fantasy style RPG combat engine I have ever played. . Pure turn based for me too.
