Re: Dr. Dungeon's MADMAN!

From the lost mind of the guy who made the ULTIZURK games! (google it)...! With too many games out there, why make another old-fashioned, retro style rpg that simply re-does what has already been done to death? Something a little different must be done if you're a one-man basement operation. With th...

Re: Dr. Dungeon's MADMAN!

I forgot to mention there's some play through videos appearing on youtube to give an idea how it plays. Thank god for Basilisk Games! They really did inspire me to make this! It was so, so, so much work. I just can't think of anything harder than making a complete game from scratch and getting it to...

Re: Dr. Dungeon's MADMAN!

Yes - big fonts! I'm thinking of all the notebooks out there. Madman will run on almost anything, although optimized for wide screens. Here are two brand new game play trailers! Just up today: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=knDxiGmMWFM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PsPYylaUd0 Get ready for the mad...

Dr. Dungeon's MADMAN!

As a fellow indie developer, I'm real pleased with Basilisk's games. Bought Book I, working on Book II, plan to buy them all. Best indie stuff in my opinion. Keep rocking, Basilisk! Wondering what folks think of my own upcoming game, 7 years in the making and soon to be released, check it out: http:...

Re: Lord of the Cyclops

>how do i play this? there is no link. is this online or do i have to download it? The sticking point here is that while I love music, and even play the violin and viola, I can't actually create music. I hum a tune and inevitably end up humming an existing tune. It turns out to be quite expensive to...

What we like and don't in an RPG

Hi guys! I was curious what people like and don't like in a role-playing computer game? Whenever there's a new release, be it a commercial or Indie project, there's always a review somewhere but I usually jump into the forums to get the real deal in terms of feedback from the players. One reason I g...

Re: The Old and the New

The old ones like Ultizurk 3 and MadMan, or "The Great Ultizurkian Underland" which can be found on the net, are old DOS games and will play in the DOSBox utility. These are so old now I've basically released them for free. Ultizurk IV: Lord of the Cyclops is native Intel-Mac. I plan to re...

Re: Lord of the Cyclops

Not quite ready yet - I'm awaiting a few more songs that are part of the music score. My music man is an indie film maker and alas he's busy with his movie at the moment. I'll definitely post at the site any new news when it comes - hopefully soon enough. Thanks, -Rob

The Old and the New

Hi guys! I decided to make my old game, ULTIZURK III: The Guildmaster's Quest available for free on my site. Its 14 years old so will run in a DOSBOX. This is mostly to compare with the new, nearly-done ULTIZURK IV: Lord of the Cyclops. You can see the radical differences made in 14 years, much of w...

One for the Spammers!

Hi guys! I saw a couple posts here about spammers. I hate spammers. I'm a major supporter of the war on spam and junk mails. Here's a little something I wrote that you can send back to them. Cherrio! Dr. D. Thanks for your letter, I read it today! And learned how you'll take all my money away! Assum...

Re: Lord of the Cyclops

I had forgotten that I also put MADMAN up on the site. This will run in Dosbox or Boxer and its totally free. Might want to play with it if you like. Its sort of like "Matian Dreams" or "Ultima 6". It was my "state of the art" at the time, about 14 years ago. Thanks, -D...

Lord of the Cyclops

Hey ho! Well, what do you think? A few more music scores and its done. Hardest thing I ever did in my life! One-man basement operation. Utterly insane. Let me know what you think. Dr. D.
