Re: Eschalon: Book II Teaser is up!

The music is absolutely glorious. Is the music normally of that quality, or was that the intro music or such?

But overall, it looks quite good. In fact, better than I thought it would.

Re: Female vs male character attributes and skills

As is often the case, there is a simple solution to all this. Make it optional. You could have three different modes when creating a character: Balanced mode(all races and genders are identical), Variance mode(there are slight variances between each) and Extreme mode(huge differences with all). This...

Well, I can't believe anyone would love Wasteland, since the interface is so horrible it it impossible to play. Not to mention all of it's other bad qualities, such as no dialogue and such. Sure, it has some extremely good qualities that would be great to have in today's games, but that doesn't mean...

Once upon a time the method was this, don't know if it's up to date: Basic HP/MP gain amount: 2 +1 hp/mp per 5 points in Endurance/Perception(starting at 15). That is to say, you gain an extra mp/hp when your Endurance/Perception is 15/20/25/30. Also, when your Strength/Intelligence/Wisdom is 20 or ...

Feedback on the game (minor spoilers)

Okay, so I've finished the game, so here's my thoughts on it, I'll try not to spoil anything: Story: Personally, I liked it. It was well thought of and thematically I enjoy goblins being the main threat, normally they are just rabble to sweep aside. Also, the amnesia was logical, I applaud for that....

Once you put the eggs in the item, you get a free level. I was expecting something more spectacular, but oh well.

Hmm, I just went to the goblin citadel, but I had only 3 keys, yet I still could open the porticulis to the upper part. I was missing the gold key. The keys I had were: Giant key, Mage key, The key you got from the fortress in the beginning. Where do you get the last key? And why did the gate open w...

I agree that spells shouldn't be so powerful. Lockmelt totally cancels the need for Lockpicking. Well, even Firedart cancels it, since you can just shoot things broken and loot the remains. Why waste points on lockpicking when you can take Elemental magery instead, gaining Lockmelt and a bunch of ot...

The book was hidden in some dungeon behind a puzzle or a false wall. Don't remember which, it was one of those near Aridell. You shouldn't bother doing it, the reward is only a handful of exp and coins. Personally I have no idea where the guy is you need to deliver the potion from the priest in Arid...

I don't see how gold and monsters fit together. You very rarely get loot out of them. You get gold from chests by selling what's in there. And if you're paying for healing and potions, you're doing something wrong(using alchemy is much cheaper, and using healing spells even more). Besides, you don't...

I have a different problem. Lillith in the woods said to kill the Wasp Queen and take it's stinger to her. Problem is, I already killed the Wasp Queen ages ago and sold the stinger to a store. The store has almost certainly cycled it's wares, so I can never complete this quest, correct? Or do certai...

The spell "Portal" doesn't show either. I guess all 10-mana Elemental spells won't show?

I don't get it, why on earth would someone want to save skillpoints after a level-up? I can't think of any reason at all to do so, someone care to elaborate?

Invisibility/Darkmirk tower bug

So, I got the invisibility spell from one of the chests on the second(or third?) level of the Darkmirk tower, but if I "eat" the scroll, then save the game and after that load it, the spell is gone! I mean, I memorize the spell. Now I can cast it. Then I play for a while and save the game....

Fireball: Does a lot of damage, also area effect, but has a very large mana cost.
Invisibility: Turns you invisible, excellent for stealing stuff.
Sonic Blast: Area effect spell, has a chance of stunning enemies
Predator Sight: You see enemies as green(useful in darkness I guess)
