Divination Trainer?

Hey, can anyone tell me where the Divination trainer is? I had assumed it was Father Nikolas in Moonrise, but I just finished his quest, and he didn't offer me the option to train, so now I am stumped...

Skill books and trainers

Without going into spoilery details about where trainers are ... do they still work like in book 2 that trainers can only train you up to level 10? Or did something change? Also, are books still the same? If you don't have the skill it gives you level 1, if you have the skill it increases skill by 2...

Re: Min-Maxxing & Exploits

Let me clarify my key points, because they all blurred together. My single most important issue is allowing me to develop my character as I play without running into an "oh, crap" moment. An example of an "oh, crap" moment would be when I make it to the 3rd town and discover that...

Re: Just replayed the best RPGs ever made.. lessons to be le

I agree with the whole % chance thing. Fallout New Vegas did away with it now for Speech, Barter, etc in conversations and it makes way more sense.

It is a mechanic from P&P that got mistakenly carried over into the world of computer games.

Re: Min-Maxxing & Exploits

Good points, of course, BW. I don't have a magic answer, but having played every cRPG since Akallabeth on my Apple][+ I do have a few ideas. Firstly, I would suggest that skills that are so fundamental that everyone needs them are almost pointless, since there is no real choice but to invest in them...

Min-Maxxing & Exploits

Hi, I would really like to see Book II deal with some of the very exploitable issues as well as curbing the ability to min-max to the extreme. Exploits like raising mercantile to the point that I can buy an item from a shop and then sell it back for more than I paid, needs to be fixed. Min-maxxing i...

Re: Feedback on Book II so far

Hi, Some suggestions, off the top of my head: 1. Mercantile should never let you buy / low sell high. The shopkeepers need to remember how much you sold them an item for, and they shouldn't sell it back to you for less. And vice versa. Basically, have mercantile let me sell a looted item for more b...

Re: Feedback on Book II so far

Oh :(

So, is it that the author doesn't agree, or that these changes would have been too invasive for Book II or what?

Re: Skill System Feedback: Books and Trainers

I totally agree with the original poster. However, as I mentioned in my feedback post, 8 levels of training is excessive given the low cost and ease of making money

Feedback on Book II so far

Hi, Firstly, well done. The game feels extremely polished, and the mechanics are good, and it totally has that old school feel to it. An awesome achievement for an indie developer. really, really, I wish I had your drive. I really have only one complaint, but frankly its a huge one (for me) since at ...

Re: Bug with High Mercantile & Repair

Heh, that would be funny, but, no... even though it says "-4 to fix boots", for example, it doesn't give me 4 gold. That would be great :) But then again, with 32 Mercantile I buy items out of a vendors shop and sell it back to him and make a profit, so money has long since stopped being a...

Need more buttons/spell keys

Hi, being used to World of Warcraft and other online games, it would be nice if I could put as many spells as I wanted on some kind of hotbar... being limited to 10 keys and every other spell accessed via the spellbook interface is very clumsy. Any possibility of expanding those 10 keys... either us...

Bug with High Mercantile & Repair

My Mercantile is in the low 30s, and when I go to repair, the blacksmith tells me everything is already repaired, even though it isn't. When I repair things one at a time, the costs are negative numbers, and so I am getting repairs for free, but it would be convenient to have the 'repair all' functi...

Lock Pick Trainer [SPOILERS]

So, by pure dumb luck I got into the Port K sewers, solved the chest puzzle, bashed a few doors down, dodged assassins and found the guy who killed Duras in the begining. I clearly skipped some critical plot elements on the way, since I hadn't figured out how to use that glass thing yet. Anyway ... ...

Save Game Location?

Hi,

I am on Windows7 and I wanted to know where my saved games were being kept so I can reformat my drive.

I looked in my "My Documents" folder, "My documents\my games", as well as the obvious location of the install dir of the game and nothing....

Help appreciated!
