Re: magick power vs. mana

There is a rather old thread that seems relevant to this topic here.

As far as I know there is only one barrel that is required to be broken to complete the story.

well, it's not a hint/spoiler that dungeons are dark, so perhaps he said you should bring several torches for some other reason. is there anything in the room you can interact with besides the platform? is there anything you can do with torches besides hold them in your off-hand for light? You can ...

So... I've never played the ToEE computer game, but I have both played the original modules and run them as a DM. Good old Village of Hommlet. The story doesn't seem particularly groundbreaking now, but what's horribly cliche now wasn't quite as cliche when it first came out or when a newer, not-so-...

(and even that is debatable - but that 'unskilled armor penalty' message is too annoying to deal with permanently). The unskilled penalties are actually pretty severe, at least early on - something on the order of -1 to hit and -3 to armor for simple light armor. Wearing armor unskilled can, in fac...

Re: Where are those mercenaries William is woried about?

As the topic says, where are the mercenaries William, Councillor of Blackwater, is talking about? I wasn't paying close enough attention when he said where they are supposed to be, and now he doesn't give any clues (and there are non recorded in the quest journal). I've travelled fairly extensively...

Yep, theres a book that gives you one level and a book that gives you 2 levels for most if not all the skills. Not quite - there is only 1 book for any given skill. If you read it while you have a skill of 0, it gives you a skill of 1. If you read it while you have a skill of greater than 0, it boo...

It's just the torches. Make sure you didn't miss any sconces; if I recall correctly, there are at least 3 per column, if not 4.

The classic hint for this puzzle:

It's pretty dark in there. You might want to find a way to shed some light on the subject.

But I don't get these straight answers. Instead, I get lenghty descriptions of something called Blitz - something I cannot be bothered with at all, I assure you - and why it is my own personal failure to expect an app to run smoothly when I meet and even execeed the announced system requirements. S...

If so, I really hope its kept as a "2D" game, Im not a fan of 3D. Yep, 2D is a must for me too. I'm curious as to why you insist on a 2-D environment. Would you really be unhappy with a 3-D world presented with a Wizardry-type interface, i.e. you can look (and move) up and down as well as...

Effects and animations are bells and whistles to me for sure, but I also have no real problems with speed whatsoever. Therefore, I voted for the first option as well.
