Re: What the hell happened?

I was feeling sorry for myself because I was going to miss the big EBIII release weekend because I was having visitors from out of town and would have no time for gaming. Then I happened to check the website and you were down even if I wanted to buy. Now my guests are gone, you are back in business ...

Re: 1st screenshots of my RPG

I'll give it a fair chance. I'm a big supporter of indie RPGs, but I have a pretty low tolerance for "cuteness".

Re: 1st screenshots of my RPG

I'm 56. I grew up before computer games. I would prefer ASCII characters to SD (super deformed) characters. Something about the cartoony look just won't allow me to take the game seriously.

Re: 1st screenshots of my RPG

I can't get into RPG's with that kind of character art. I've tried, but it just doesn't work for me.

I'm a big fan of "If it ain't broke don't fix." And EB2 works just fine.

Re: Avadon on Good old Games-Huzzah!!

I also had a hard time getting into Vogel's games. They don't have the sort of visual and audio charms that Eschalon has to get you hooked from the start. They are also generally slow starting in that it takes quite a few levels to get to the point where there is much in the way of tactical choices....

Re: The Witcher

The Witcher games have good atmosphere, but I don't much care for RT action combat. The first game could be played with the camera zoomed out and I could play it with liberal use of the pause button. The combat in second game was much too "actiony" for my taste with the up close "Over...
