Voted 1 (though it'd be really interesting to play a new game like Eye of the beholder and wizardry 8). Option 1 just makes the most sense. You've got an engine, now you can concentrate more on making quests and story. This way you can also a) Pump out the sequels much faster, or... b) Work for a lo...

1024*768 would be nice (I was fine with 800x600, even though I've got a widescreen LCD). It would be nice with a 16:10 resolution though... maybe stuff in some more interface on the side and leave the actual in-game area the same? If you pick 1680x1050 for example, you've got 656 pixels of space on ...

Even though I didn't have any problems myself finding the info I wanted, I do agree (that it can be made more accessible). The RPGwatch article and demo, etc, should probably be visible from most pages on the website*. You should shamelessly flaunt any good articles about Eschalon as much as you can...

William the councilor in Blackwater... once you've completed the quest he gives you he says: "Well, I've got no worried about it right this minute. Here, let me get you a bit of coin from the city's coffer. You deserve this." might I suggest: 'coinage' which means coins collectively and w...

I currently use bless and leatherskin as my only buffs, and my "tank" can take on mobs. With Cat's eyes and Predatory Sight (sp?) I sometimes fight at night, due to the added advantage. Other than that I'm mostly pure melee, bashing chests left and right with a cheap mace. I also bought so...

Is this consistent for everybody? Because I'm pretty sure my character wasn't concealed by darkness when he used a torch. Or maybe I'm just thinking of my characters bonus ToHit.

Are those goblins already there or does the game spawn them when you reach a certain point on the map? It's a moot point if you're going to lock the house, I just wondered if it had something to do with the goblins spawning too close to the house or something. If they spawn at random positions aroun...

It happened to me as well, one goblin hacker ran into the room and killed the guy. An earlier save fixed it though (i.e, all the goblins attacked me from across the bridge). (with patch 1.02)

Found a typo (patch 1.02), When trying to close a door and you're standing in the doorway:

"You are standing in there doorway and cannot close the door!"
should be:
"You are standing in the doorway and cannot close the door!"

But , I have notice on occasion that during a ramdon encounter after resting members of the attacking party materalize in the forest stuck among the trees, if you are resting close to trees. Now that you mention it, this has happened to me as well. Could get bad if it happened a lot in the same dun...

Graphics glitch in Western Salted Coast

The mists in the area around Tangletree Ossuary (Western Salted Coast i believe) become red for a few frames when my character gets damaged. It only happens when he's hit and takes damage (not sure if it happens at night or not). Since it's graphical (and noone else has reported it), it might be har...

I've had real luck as I haven't run across any bugs at all. I personally love the difficulty in this game. It was real damn hard in the beginning (pure melee and I only found apples and crap in containers), but much easier now that I'm lvl 10. But the great thing is, I can still get killed real quic...

First off, thanks for the fun game (so far at least, I'm only at lvl 8 but having a laugh :) ). For book II - Some kind of fletching skill. It might unbalance things (haven't played a ranged build yet), but making simple arrows isn't that hard (for a proffessional ranger). - Shield bonus vs ranged, ...

A vicious raider wielding a falcata. But I'm trying to raise money for something heavier. Seriously though, I thought there was a difference in weight? I've noticed armor pieces that are both heavy armor and have the same armor rating, but they weighed differently. Same with an iron falcata and an i...
