Re: Games similar to Eschalon? (with some picky requirements
I may humbly suggest a visit to www.dodgysoft.com? right off the top of my head I don't know anything that would fit your requirements of "single player, world in separate districts, old-school gameplay" better (although, uhm, it fails at "non-primitive graphics" ) @LordP:...

Re: Dark Disciples II
Went to try another download and it appears that the site's account has been suspended. uhhh indeed... Of course, right after I recommend a game. Seems Mr. Murphy has been laying down the law again... Since the last update was only like ten days ago, the game is certainly still supported. Also, the...

Re: Puzzle Designing
I must admit I'm not too fond of word puzzles like this as they are too much dependent on the player using the same vocabulary as the designer (guess what, English is not my native language). You should be able to solve the puzzle with the material given. This is why I like graphical or mathematical...

Perhaps I'm the only one with this point of view, but while I like the cartography skill in and of itself, what annoyed me was that you had to go through everything you already mapped with, say, level 2 cartography again with level 4 cartography just to bring it up to detail. I know it's perhaps not...

Re: Sword of Ahkranox - another dungeon crawler
Procedurally generated content? Huh? Are we looking at some kind of a mixture between Diablo and M&Ms? I still don't know what the sense of exploration is if all you can find is another dozen of randomly generated rooms and treasure heaps. This is actually what makes the classics stand apart IMH...

Re: Diablo 3 review
Ditto. I hope, though, that some time in the future this restriction might be removed, as they removed the CD check from Diablo II. Yes, this was 10 years afterward, but I can wait. It's not like there won't be anything else to play in the meantime (all hail to the indie market)!

Re: Dark Disciples II
Ah, another Disciple! Let us join forces  Seriously - while we are all waiting for Book III, I can only recommend trying this one as well. I mean, it's free, and indeed has more quality to it than quite some games other people ask money for. Currently I'm playing through the custom campaign so...
