"Theft" could perhaps be a feature one could turn on/off in the settings.
In fact maybe one could have a sliding scale for such options instead of just on/off.

Re: nobody is going to like this camping suggestion...
I agree. In Book 2 it became too easy once you got skilled in foraging, mercantile and alchemy. One could just buy a junk piece of weapon and convert into something exotic and sell it back again. One ended up with far too much gold to know what to do with it. And it was tempting to just camp wheneve...

Re: Beyond Book III
I am certainly not as enabled in programming as some other friends here, but frankly - as an ordinary player I feel that a version which combines all the three editions would in itself be a great premium offering. While we would want to transport from landmarks in Book I to Book III in order to acqu...

Re: Food weight
What I found too hard to digest was that one could go sleep in a corner for days and forage far too much stuff to use as well as sell.
Foraging should be much harder.

Beyond Book III
While we await Book III with baited breath, I think one also needs to look beyond and we have had hints towards that in the form of a Collector's DVD etc. The game has matured nicely and IMHO it would be worth it if I can simply play Books I, II and III sequentially one after the other as a collecti...

I guess you have to trust.
We have had two outstanding episodes and that's why we are here.
I don't doubt the third one would be the best.

I think you should also state the minimum hardware/software requirements. You obviously don't want somebody doing this on a 256MB RAM and running custom Linux. Or is that what you want? Your cutoff of 100 posts assures that you'll only get genuinely interested volunteers who have been actively follo...

Re: Sit down. We need to have a talk.
I don't think I'll ever find time to physically visit a store and buy a DVD. I'd much rather prefer what you suggest - ie download an image file and burn it on the disc myself. But there is a catch. Not so long ago I was using 3G where a 12 GB data plan was equivalent to about $50 in my local curren...

Incorporating Intelligence in Enemies
All through Book I and II...I have always wished for a little more "Intelligence" in the game. Something to distinguish the Bee or Rat from the Wolf and all those beasts from the Taurax / Dwarf / Goblin / Human enemy. Basically things that make enemies have comparable intelligence vis-a-vi...

Re: Thrown Weapons revisited + new ideas
My thoughts... Fear is a good way...my slightly modified view is that let it prevent a lone enemy from charging in for melee combat if the player is say above skill level 15 in thrown weapons (or another appropriate level) and he/she is also armed with a thrown weapon of very high quality. They eith...

Re: COMPREHENSIVE Book III 'Wishlist' (List form)
Agree with Necromis. Enemies should be able to cross the mapsheet divide! If not, at least have some waiting on the other side if a player is simply running away from certain demise. Also enemies should be able to recoup and/or regenerate. Other wishes (and I understand its an issue programming some...

Re: The Armor Quandary
Personally I found Heavy Armor to be a bit too cumbersome and not offering any more advantages beyond Light Armor. Yes, in due course I did try and acquire 1 point in that (buy a book maybe), just to be able to combine. Else I start with light armor. Maybe its too late to talk of this, but I always ...
