Re: Registration Numbers
I see I am not the only one with this problem. I purchased the DVD - downloaded the "demo version" meanwhile - and cannot register, dammit. I tried everything to no avail - caps on/off, shift, you name it. And yes, I know the friggin difference between 0 and O and yes, I tried both just in...

Re: When dose book 2 come out!?
I realize at this point it may be very late 2009 before we are finished- it could even be very early 2010. Book II is so much more game than Book I was, and it's taking far longer than we thought to finish it up. But I can promise you this: We are getting closer to the finish line! No one wants to ...

Would be great if the hero could collect seeds and plant those babies in his own front yard. A new 'gardening' skill can be useful.

Re: Developers Notes: Eschalon World Map
I don't want any Enhanced Editions. I like the idea of 'faulty maps' better. Some may know of a book in Book I that talks about Eschalon's five Provinces, but actually the map shows about seven now. And the Rift Zone, which is called a Province in Book I, is really more of a region between Provinces...

I wasn't specifically speaking of AoD, because I view that as a "community project". Vince obviously wants people actively involved in every aspect of the game's design, so by default that means there won't be very many surprises left for gamers who have participated in the process. A com...

Trolls = horrid smell
It is given.

The only flower scent worse than Troll stench is a liberally applied cheap perfume.realmzmaster wrote: I know a great many flowers scents that will make Trolls smell like roses!

I beg to differ. Trolls don't smell like marshlands - they smell much worse. Have you ever smelled a troll?realmzmaster wrote:Actually, you may not smell it coming! Since you are in the marshlands it will smell like the marshlands! Also it may not be dumb!
The possibilities!
They dumb, too.

Very nice indeed. Let's see...
Immunity to toxins - check.
Weakness to fire - check.
The only thing missing is their overpowering stench.I'd better smell a troll before I run into one.

Nice description - simple and to the point.
Are those descriptions going to be in the manual only? Will the hero learn more about a particular monster (I am thinking of The Witcher's approach to lore) by reading books/scrolls? Any weaknesses?

I prefer the sword/bow combo. Actually, starting with a melee weapon skill is much harder than starting with Bow skill. First time around, I started with a sword (kept dying, dammit, it was pathetic), then I found an archery book, then got trained with bow, then added even more points. Second time I...

Finished the game tonight... Easily killed all guards, with no damage to myself - armor rating 58 made me virtually indestructible. A few demon oil bombs and a bit of hack-n-slash finished them all quickly. I would post a screenshot of my smashing Victory Over Goodness if I could figure ou...

I don't usually use any cheats, but now I really, really, really wish I knew how to spawn just ONE easter egg. I accidentally sold the first one (stupid me) in the beginning of the game... I am level 12 now and I am not going to restart the game because of one botched quest, but still... ARGH....
