Re: Ultima 7
Actually it is priced at $2.99 right now at GOG due to the Holiday season. Purchased it today after reading your message. Thanks for the idea. Have not played it for at least 15 years. Looking forward to the journey once again. Runs just fine on 64 bit Vista. They also have Ultima Underworld 1&2...

You do not have to use a download manager. The default download capabilities of your browser should be able to download files from GOG without any problem. I have purchased several games from them and never had the slightest bit of problems. I do not use Download Manager apps as most of them have s...

Seem to be very underpowered at the moment
Is the proper progression Eastwillow>Ironpool Dam>Everdale>Port Kudaad>Devils Slough. Because after doing all the quests I have found along the way I am only level 9 and seem to be having some difficulty with the Trolls and Boreheads I am finding in this and surrounding areas. Did I miss a quest hub...

Re: Fatigue would increase the body management strategy
I like your 2nd option. Forced sleep. Because if you get to fatigued that is what happens. This however brings up other problems as in some areas you cannot camp. Such as when to close to a enemy or NPC. Maybe instead of forced sleep, just a lowering of attributes much like a curse until you actuall...

Re: Playing it old school... Baldur's Gate Trilogy!
Great games..also the Icewind Dale games where pretty good to. I have Baldurs Gate II installed on my computer and have been playing it from time to time...although I played through it about 3 times already since it was released many years ago, so I have lost some of my motivation to play.

Fatigue would increase the body management strategy
Along with Hunger and Thirst maybe Fatigue should be added also. This would even increase the strategy if sleep was required. Possibly even to the point that as fatigue goes up past a certain point attributes start to be effected. Maybe they could add energy drinks ( potions ). that subtract from fa...

One problem I see with hunger and thirst
I like hunger and thirst being part of the game. But it also forces one into unrealistic startegies. The fact that hunger and thirst decays while you are sleeping means to make the most efficient use of your time, you never sleep just to pass time ..for example because it is easier to travel in dayl...

Re: 'Wishlist' Focus: Creatures You'd Like To See in Book II
I agree with your comments..although I really do not like acid grubs. My fault though as I save a lot, and usually do not notice that a piece of equipment is gone..thus permanently getting rid of a piece of equipment...because I tend to use only one save game. I would add to you list. Orcs...a large...

Re: Isn't it too late for suggestions?
I think battles on water would not be to hard. If you just think of a boat as something that toggles the abilty to traverse water..and water then is just considered like any other terrain. Then battles would happen just like any other battle with no change. Although this might make some unfair explo...

Re: Incorporating Intelligence in Enemies
Intelligence is very hard to program. Computers do not actually think. They are dumb as rocks. So everything an enemy does has to be scripted by a programmer ( conditional..if..then..else ), and is very predictable. I suppose unpredictable behavior could be programmed by adding a random number gener...

Re: Thank you BW
I agree its a great game...Level design is great with some thought needed to solve the puzzles, and progress through the dungeons. Its not just an uninteresting game on rails with nothing but hack and slash. Leveling up is also important as every skill and attribute has some importance. The minimap ...

Re: Please add cannibalism (this is a serious request)
No need for that..I think it takes away from the game if you start adding evil, and sick items to the game..Because even though you don't have to use the item. You have to hack the meat off the body for it to be available in the first place. Jeffrey Dahmer anybody. I sincerely hope they do not add t...

Acid Grubs are super annoying
These guys who I take it are the mobs who keep destroying my equipment are annoying the heck out of me. and then I do not notice it and save the game..And then the equipment is permanently gone. Have lost 2 swords and a nice cloak to these critters.

Great game
Some old school goodness. Loving this game a lot. Have just entered the Goblin Citadel so I imagine I am getting close to the end. But I also have book 2. So looking forward to playing that one..and book 3 in the future if it is released. I know not why these kinds of games are so addicting but it r...
