Re: No Sound on ubuntu 10.10

Hmm... I am still getting the same return when I switch that to ./eschalon_book_2 , any ideas why? Is the ./ in front referring to the directory that the game is in, since I found a hidden folder named ./eschalon_book_2 where my save games are stored.

Hi, I am currently having the same problem while running it under 10.10. Running the command

Code: Select all

 padsp "eschalon_book_2"
and

Code: Select all

 padsp "eschalon book 2"
returned the reading:

Code: Select all

exec: 88: eschalon book 2: not found

Re: Not recognizing screen?

Thank you for the response. After running "dpkg -l nvidia-current" and checking out the /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/ folder, it becomes very clear that the NVIDIA driver was not installed correctly. Here is the reading from the command: Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold | Status=Not/Ins...

Re: Not recognizing screen?

Hmm... It appears that my "/usr/lib/nvidia-current/xorg" folder is empty. Perhaps this is an indication that my NVIDIA driver was not installed correctly? I feel that I am getting closer and closer to the root of all my problems. After running xrandr -q, something that might be related happened: xra...

Re: Not recognizing screen?

Ahh, thanks for the referral to that website; I was able to find relevant information about what my current problem is actually caused by (NVIDIA driver not being able to probe for supported resolutions, although the fact that it still doesn't recognize the existence of my monitor is disturbing >_>)...

Re: How do I use Repair?

Also to add something that I've noticed, you repair ALL the items in your inventory, not just the ones equipped.

Not recognizing screen?

Hi all, I'm a pretty inexperienced Linux user here, and I've ran across an error that I haven't been able to find anywhere using the search function. Attempting to run eschalon_book_2 using the Terminal resulted in the following error: X Error of failed request: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) ...
