Re: Steam version updated to 1.021

yep, seems updated. The steam forums haven't noticed though, surprisingly enough. i reckon it's because everyone's already moved on to other games by now. Still, i gonna roll up a new ranger and see what i can do.

Re: Steam vs. 1.021

fair enough. The steam forums have nothing new, anyhow. Nor has the steam page. I would have bought it off the site rather than steam really, but the site no longer supports iDeal like it did for the first two games. Not having the patch isn't too bad, but it's still annoying. Late-game copper weapo...

Re: Steam vs. 1.021

Wasn't there a post here which said that there he'd received an email from steam a few weeks ago? I was going to say that that was some news at least, but it seems to have gone missing.

Re: Steam vs. 1.021

This update is long overdue. It was promised to us several months ago, and it's still not here. i really appreciate how BW listens to fan input and all, but without hearing that there's been some difficulties with getting it on steam or whatnot, it's starting to sound like procrastination. :( I'd re...

Re: Unusable pentagrams

There's another one behind a destroyable fence in a secret area in the rockhammer region. It's got two levers, but i've never managed to flick the one on the right. It's got a letter S written on it, apparently, but it means nothing to me.

bugged unique hammer in lvl 2 mine

So i've found this hammer called Bonedust, and it doesn't show up on my character. Anyone else seen this? It doesn't seem to be bugged in any other way so far.

Re: Eschalon: Book II music themes

Well, for what its worth, it seems only the book 2 intro theme is available on the internet. The rest hasn't been cracked. I'll certainly be buying the soundtrack once it comes out. Shame not everything's on there though.

I've tried that. Never finished the character, but i could see the potential. Spears sinergise with defensive stats quite well.

Re: Anyone have any problem with...

Somehow, i don't think our adventurer would mind being all that beardy. I've always had this weird impression of my characters who'd walk into town at odd hours, sell a crapton of mysteriously obtained weapons and armor and then dissapear again for some random period of time to murder some more of t...

Re: Bag end

If you would have actually read the comments on that article, you would have noticed several arguments against it. Here's just one: The only solution to bad worldbuilding is better storytelling. M. John Harrison said it best: Every moment of a science fiction story must represent the triumph of writ...

While i'm for the idea, i don't see why we'd remove alignment feats. More tweaking ftw!

Re: Second level goblin citidel

You can also just walk back to the entrance point and keep dropping the gate on the guards. Much simpler. :P Nope, the gate locks open after you go through. I think BW fixed that little trick so it wouldn't work anymore. Ah, that's possible. Last time i did that was on a rather old version. I've ha...

Re: Bar None

It also all sounds really impractical. Most of that is not something i'd want to have to deal with. That's the main reason why the difficulty settings exist; not all people like the hassle.

You will be able to make containers anywhere in book 3.

Re: Light Armor vs. Heavy Armor

Tungsten is also stupidly heavy. Personally, i preferred the first game's system when it came to determining armor quality. It prevented silliness like iron cloaks, even though the 2nd game's system was designed around giving players equal amounts of items for every concievable category. Another thi...
