Re: Save/Load rules

I actually thought that one of the save/load rules was going to be 'save and exit'. Meaning you couldnt spam save, and everything you did stuck (including death). The system they have in place is much more forgiving. Great work on letting people choose their rules though Basilisk, many more games sh...

Re: Registration the way others do it...?

I presume that book2 will still be having a CD version like book1, as a nice keepsake?

I love turn based combat, with heaps of character options and that is why i love TOEE. But i see were people are coming from when they talk about the story, it really isnt there, which makes the game somewhat hard to recommend to just anyone.

Seems to me that TOEE is somewhat of a niche game.

I really really enjoy temple of elemental evil, i just wish it was so very much longer. There are some great fan made mods that fix bugs and also add new content, such as some higher level dungeons. http://www.co8.org/forum/ Takes some navigating but the goodies are there if you want them. edit: woo...

I easily killed the eye things with my wizard after being thrown in there (for a laugh really). But i wasnt able to get back out, i guess it was intended that you die.

Didnt bother me though as i saved just before doing it.

Theres a spell that does that alpha :P But on topic, i think boats would be a cool idea. In book 1 sea transport was kind of mentioned, but there could be so much more there. Why not have it that you can buy a boat, go around in the sea exploring and encountering monsters? Of course using a boat wou...

I liked how there was a few little towns, it added to the atmosphere of survival. But in saying that I do think there should have been one quite large town - black water just seemed far to small and felt just like a vending machine, there wasnt even a baracks were all those gaurds slept :O

Ranger i think might be tricky. There is only limited availiable ammo and it only restocks every so often. I think ull probably shoot through it all and be abit screwed. I cant say for sure though as i havnt played a full ranger. Also you will need to use predator sight potions or the spell to be an...

Fort mana pots are good, but seem to only last for a very limited time, so if you have maneuver in battle you waste it quick sticks. I am more inclinded to think your better of just drinking a lvl 3 mana potion.

Loriac I think the point being that you are hard pressed to play a pure wizard character. I mean sure if you are going to do some type of half melee super power gaming build, that would be over powered. But if you arnt into being the most overpowered thing imaginable and actualy want to role play, s...
