Re: Pillars of Eternity

I didnt like it at all. I couldnt even play it. I have a 1 year old pc which runs just about any and it was too slow. On top of that the infinity engine is better and has much more cool graphics Imo. I made a character and was enthused by the choices. Got through a 3 minute wait time for journal scr...

Re: Your favourite Eschalon game?

I voted book 2. The reason why was that its the only game like that other than fallout 2 which has allowed me to keep interested in the story. That and the fact that the boss battle in book 2 is challenging. Some people say that going complicated is a good thing for a story. I dont think so. I like ...

Re: Im a bit confused

Ok I am loving game again and level 19. I currently am at two crossroads. I dont know how to get to Astral Range and have two avenues to take. 1 is to go with Emayu Horace the witch but that is shut because I dont have the key. Or 2 go with skull dungeon which also leaves me thinking. How many ways ...

Re: Im a bit confused

Book 2 was immensely good for fighters with or without mercantile. It really made a difference if you did random encounters. I got through Eschalon Book 2 on my 3rd time beating the game with 9 skill in piercing weapons. I had to scrounge every corner of the playing field for items and boosts to dam...

Re: Im a bit confused

I am going to break off for a little while. I had a tough time with the game and I dont really have any idea what is going on. I might restart the game but I am not sure. A few things I noticed- -The game becomes immensely hard if you dont invest in mercantile. I really wish I had done that early on...

Re: Im a bit confused

I havent but unless you consider the rockhammer mines with those creatures? I have finished the Elderoak forest bottom but have absolutely no idea what to do to get to opposite side. There arent really any areas to explore, at least not that I know of.

Im a bit confused

I am level 13 and have just finished the Akadai Underground. I have the Akadai preserved head, I have the 2 crux. The problem is I have looked almost everywhere and just want to advance the story. I have an idea of what is going on in the game. I just want to advance the plot and would like to know ...

The Battle is far from Over

Basilisk Wrangler is a god. We should abandon our false gods and revere new days/nights of happiness under his guidance. I too have cast my eyes from out of their sockets and now I can see the truth. The Truth is these games are so bloody awesome and I am not even british. Eschalon book 1-3 is the b...

Re: General Thoughts on Book III, So Far (some SPOILERS)

Did you yet go through the gate with the number lock in the south-eastern corner of Boglands? Or else, go through the locked gate in the south of Rockhammer Mine? The Rockhammer Mine is locked and I dont have whatever key you need. The dwarf doesnt have it. The boglands I checked but they never men...

Re: General Thoughts on Book III, So Far (some SPOILERS)

Look for a raft next to a black stone pillar and when next to the pillar, click on the pillar. Ok, I checked first the seawarden's guild because that made sense they might have a boat. I ended with a kitten. I then remembered someone say something about a witch so I figured that I can just give the...

Re: Book III Expansion Planned!

Yes, we are working on a add-on (much like the Secret of Fathamurk add-on for Book 2). Also, we will be releasing dev tools so that fans can make their own add-on adventures. You will be able to get a lot more play out of your character. :D You just made my day. Now all the awesome people on here c...

Re: blue satans, I am broke, but that is ok, and tips

statue? they are across a river. I will go look for one. but I can't save/load during combat. No the stone that lets you quick travel to forest. You have to look for way around to opposite side of river. I was referring to quick fights at camping and way to exp farm and get some levels. It works re...

Re: blue satans, I am broke, but that is ok, and tips

One thing you can do for ANY class. Go by the statue which is in a corner. Usually the blue guys spawn in 3 pair. 1 will appear near you and the other 2 will be far out of the way. Save right when the encounter happens. Dont move or attack or do anything. Load the same game and the blue guy who is c...

Re: Im in the House of Shame and I Like it

I thought back to Edwins Comment in Baldurs Gate 2 when he hits on Mazzy Fentan and she tells him she will destroy him. "Somebody get this jerk a banana, my kneecaps are in for a hurting". I'd never make it in book 3. A 6' 1 guy doesnt have a chance with dwarven women
