I started with King's Bounty. I played countless hours of Heroes 1 and Heroes 2. They were incredibly great strategy RPG games. I got so I had to play on impossible because I learned the game that well. WOG is the best version (Heroes 3 1/2) in my humble opinion. I too have bought all of the Heroes ...

Well, here's how most indies promote their stuff During development, they create a web site and update it frequently to create a fan base. There's a forum (LIKE THIS ONE) and it gets prospective clients really pumped up. From time to time, they will post screen shots. Realize that what Cleve is doin...

Latest post by Cleve in RPGwatch forums is that it will be finished by the beginning of March. Apparently all that is left is testing. Why not release a beta and have beta testers to ensure quality. I just don't know whether to believe him or not. It's been 13 years for me and the waiting is getting...

Amiga was the only way to play rpg's in the late 80s and early 90s. Superior graphics, custom chips, even four channel sound built in! The Amiga has multitasking environment long before any other. Even emulating these games today is a blast. Use WinUAE and a decent PC and I can get 95 percent of gam...

You can't be a serious gamer if you run a Mac! PC's are cheaper, better and run just about any game out there, even the older ones (DOS BOX with DOG frontend is the way to go). I run mac at work. They're not bad if you use graphics, but my home-built PC at home costs a fraction, has more ram and bet...

Might & Magic Tribute

Looked very promising but hasn't been updated in more than a year. Poor suck worked on it for almost 4years but appears to have abandoned it. Too bad because might and magic series is my favourite. I'd go with 7, then 2, then 6 Never did get too far into 9 before I gave up in frustration Here's the ...

No game

Deadline of Christmas came and went. I would love to play this game, but I just don't understand all of the time (thousands of hours) and effort Cleve put into this thing, and not let the world enjoy it. I played the beta, quite good, even with older graphics. But the play's the big thing with me, n...

Forget about it

Listen to me, everyone. It's not happening. Not Christmas. Not Easter. Not ever. Everyone here is WASTING THEIR TIME hoping for this release. If you're like me, checking the posts on the boards every day 10 years ago waiting for this release, it's like a slow death. It hurts, and I'm not going throu...

running

So far, the two BIG drawbacks to me are the lack of a run feature (maybe I"m too impatient, but I like to get places fast many times) and the stinking darkness. It gets dark too fast, too often. I'd prefer perhaps a 7/8 daylight to 1/8 darkness ratio. And the torches don't give out enough light...

Bard's Tale 1 Dungeon Master (an an Amiga 500, with 1 MB expansion) - incredible back then! Phantasie 3 (still a great game) Dragon Wars (amiga emulator works great now) Might and Magic 1 through 8 (9 was a waste of money for me) Heroes of Might and Magic 1-3 (4 was a waste of money) King's Bounty W...

I loved those Questbusters! I still have most of the issues. They really helped back in the early 90s when there was no internet. Now, if you get stuck, just hop on the internet and get all the clues you need. Back then, I had to wait for QB to arrive in the mail. I liked their Trading Post too. Won...
