It didn't scale to Wisdom in Book II due to a bug iirc.
Is that fixed? If it is, how does it work, is it like a replacement for Perception or does it add extra MP on top of what perception does?

Re: The most noticeable difference ?
The insect swarms can be a bit annoying but so far I haven't had any trouble outrunning them. Didn't know that bludgeoning worked, after neither my bow or my dagger worked I just assumed that you'd have to use magic or demon oil to kill them, or perhaps I'd find some fire arrows later that could tak...

Hear, hear! I've been onboard since the early days of Book I and loved every minute of it. The Eschalon games are in my opinion among the best games released this millenium. It's just awesome to get some old school turn-based isometric goodness but with some of the modern day conveniences like a que...

Re: How do I blow up powder kegs
As mentioned you can make barrels with fuses yourself, once they're dropped you've got five turns to get to safety.

Re: Medicine: is it not worth the trouble?
If I remember correctly hp-regeneration is something like 1 hp every 50 turns (don't know the exact number) minus (Endurance + Medicine). So 2 Medicine isn't going to make a huge difference, unless you're already close to 1 hp/round in which case another ring might be more useful. But if you train i...

Re: [LockPick] not worth it....
only complain about rogue skills. trap disarming is fine, but again, u can always save, and try again until u resist the trap, or just eat it and heal. rogue is def. not worth it. Well, you can't if you play with a seed so I guess it's more useful then. I think it's a testament to the quality of th...

Re: Friend just rolled a 109 total (five 14's, three 13's)
Yes it's chance but the totals between 56 and 112 ought to be distributed over a bell-curve so it's quite unlikely to get such a high score. I've never gotten anything above 105 or so. I also re-roll until I get a decent roll for whatever character I'm building, and no really bad scores, no 7s for m...

Re: Goblins of steel
My level 9 char has 14 in bows and goblins are still a bit problematic. In this case I think that a relatively low hit chance is a bigger problem than low damage. When fighting tough monsters I'll usually kite and make liberal use of the feat. I don't really think that is a viable tactic for you tho...

Re: A few questions about item durability
Thanks a lot for the replies!
Good to know about the materials, I sort of hoped that was how it worked.
I knew of the feats extra durability damage. I just thought that using it a few times shouldn't bring my bow to the brink of destruction.

A few questions about item durability
Is there any correlation between material and durability? Or does the item level determine base damage and durability depends on that? The entry for Repair in the manual seems to suggest the former, but when I play it seems to be the latter. Have weapons taken a huge hit to durability since Book II?...
