Re: Giveaway: Avadon The Black Fortress

I just got the game through the humble bundle offer, it's very nice, and looks a bit like Eschalon!

Re: Any Jethro Tull fans out there?

I'm not really a fan, but I like Jethro Tull (especially Aqualung and Stormwatch) because of the mix folk/rock like in Malicorne, Folque etc.

I also enjoy King Crimson and John Renbourn.

Re: New requirement for Ubuntu 8.10, please include

strange, I'm using the latest gnome 2.24 desktop (but not ubuntu), and I can add the png icon in the panel.
I don't see the point in accepting only svg in the panel, except if you want to have a panel with a height more than 120 px :)

Re: Some Little Known Roguelikes

you have to compile the whole game with tiles enabled. make MAKEFILE=makefile.x11 OSX=y It seems they will provide a decent binary for mac with both text and graphic mode in the next release. I have a version for mac PPC (the one I've compiled for myself), but not for Intel. If you have an old mac p...

I'd like to get an email notification when the beta test will begin. I'd be happy to test it on linux (debian).

it's a pity it's only compatible with leopard (10.5), many people are still using tiger or lower.

as far as I'm concerned, I could only get the quickspell to work by changing the keymap (using Qwerty keyboard). You can add a shortcut for the keymap change in the tray on the gnome desktop.

I'm playing Arcanum now, and it's a real masterpiece !
It reminds me much of Eschalon btw.
I find the gaming system more enjoyable than Baldur's gate or Fallout. The story and side quests are very interesting too.

I never play fullscreen because on LCD it's ugly when it's not the native resolution. I still think the resolution should be user defined. It wouldn't mean make several tiles, but change the "canvas" of the game while keeping the same size for objects. If you've played Ultima VII with Exul...

it's possible to lure the big bees (les abeilles ;) ) to come to Lilith's house. If there are too many bees, they will manage to kill her. (I know it's not better for her!)

the first time he proposed me to kill Lilith, I refused, and then he didn't propose to do it again. This man looks suspicious, but was it necessary to do this quest for finishing the game or not ? (I don't think so, but I am just curious if it could alter the end of the game in any way)

I think I've experienced this too. Strange because I think I'd store things inside this chest without the blacksmith getting angry about that before.

friendly people becoming hostile

hello, today while visiting Erik the blacksmith in Bordertown, he was hostile toward me, I don't know why. I got used to use his chest as a storeplace for my extra stuffs, but he never complained before. Is there a way to turn them again into frendly people when this happens ? Btw is it 100% safe to...
