Ah! Thanks for the quick help. I had already been there, but assumed the pool is only a big trap...
(Ockham should have told me that it must be exactly this lever....)

Omentor Temple: Stuck with the bolt...
So I'm in Omentors Temple, applied three of the artifacts to their machines - but the last one, that needs the bolt, is locked behind a gate, and I see no way to access it. What am I missing?

Thanks, I'll try the play-something-else solution the next time it happens...

Sound on 'load game'
Hi, already twice so far I experienced the issue that after loading a game, sound would be stuttering, and the whole game becomes sluggish. When I quit the game, I can see that the kmix mixer program is running at 100% CPU, and I have to kill/restart it. (Not sure if this is related: In general, whe...

Re: Crash with full screen and multiple monitors
Interesting. Right now I also can only run in windowed mode. But there is only one monitor, and xrandr only shows one screen... The only thing I did was watch a movie some days ago, and for that connected an external monitor and switched to that (using disper). Maybe it is related? (test) Yes, I sta...

Re: Movement animation
(back from vacation) Meanwhile I did reboot, and right now animation is back. I'm a bit reluctant to reboot/restart X too often - not because of uptime or superiority but just because I always have lots of applications open so I can immediately continue to work after resuming from S2RAM. I'll have t...

Movement animation
Huh, my character is not 'moving' anymore. No animation - just a static sprite that slides around. I am almost 100% sure this was not the case the last time I played. So I thought it's related to the new binary (1.04a), and went back to 1.03. Same thing. Even after removing my ~/.basilisk_games fold...

Re: Doesn't run on Ubuntu Jaunty 64b bit
Indeed, a compile against a non-bleeding-edge libc will help a *lot* of people, and is the way to go. BUT! I cannot wait that long. Had to wait too long for the 26th of May already. *veg* So I just grabbed the latest glibc packages and installed them - as mentioned before, glibc is backward compatib...

Just bought it :)
Hi! Jumping (a bit) late on the wagon, but I only learned about the 2nd beta of the game from the post on linuxgames. For me, this and happypenguin are the only sources to learn about games, as I'm Linux-only (yes, I know, still not that common, but been like this for >>10 years...). Btw., I haven't...
