Re: Will there be a build with lower glibc requirements ?

Re: Doesn't run on Ubuntu Jaunty 64b bit

i would like to second that. use VirtualBox to get a bare system for building up and running. with the OpenGL support that wraps the native driver you can even run the game at close to full speed of your primary system. There are also ways to make the same thing happen using a chroot environment - b...

Re: port kuudad sewer
sorry for misleading you - your second post clashed with mine. salt is correct (although there are bags of exotic spices in the game).

Re: port kuudad sewer
2: yes there are some
3: no, think more about the "spice"
4: after all this is the thiefs guild. think in the direction of what a hammer is good for in the game

Re: Initial Impression

first i'd like to say, that this game takes off right there, where the first part was a real pleasure to play. lots of minute changes to make a good game even better. what i especially like so far is the city of port kuudad, which reminds me alot of a big city in arcanum -- so much to explore to man...

Re:
Regarding Edwin in Port Kuuldan
How did you kill the spiders? Using spells like super nova or mass boil may have injured NPCs and angered the town.
No collateral damage! Just Abyssal Freeze L4. To my knowledge it attacks just one enemy and the whole battle was concealed within the walls of the...
Regarding Edwin in Port Kuuldan

Why has Edwin turned against me? I killed the spiders and on the way back to him he attacked me right away. I had to kill him and also slap a innocent bystander to keep the guards off me. I hope he does not provide vital quests...

Re: Drakensang

having to some extend played the pen-and-paper this game is based on it has a huge downside. the combat is just ridiculous. this game is all about combat where the pen-and-paper is all about avoiding it. you can recover in good conditions a D6+some small bonus HP a _day_ and you just recover the sam...

it is a real nice game - quite old school nowadays (draw your own maps etc). yet i prefer shining force 1 and 2 in any case over it - even if they are the literal apples and oranges...

Re: Patrician III: Rise of the Hanse

i can not tell for part 3 - but part 2 was quite a blast to play. it even had multiplayer and was quite fun to deal with those nasty pirates tag team style. i installed it a year ago again in wine on linux and it played well. if you like games like anno, atrain, transport tycoon, ... you will like t...
