Infinite Space

It's Monday. I haven't slept in two days... hell, I didn't even got out of bed. My arms and elbows hurt from holding that damn Nintendo DS. I didn't even intent to buy that damn thing in the first place... It all started when I downloaded an emulator and a ROM copy of GTA Chinatown Wars. The game ha...

Alternate purchase method

I've been waiting for Book2 for years and I would love to purchase it, but I can't :(
Primus seemingly refuses any business with me until I provide a valid phone number. Well, I don't have a phone :/
What should I do?

Re: Avatar

A nice movie, but nothing really special. More like Pocahontas on steroids.

Re: Legie - indie 3D RPG / adventure

Downloaded the demo, liked it, and immediately buyed the game ;) The combination of adventure and dungeon crawler is kinda cool. I was stuck a few times, a few more hints inside the game would be nice. But overall I really enjoy it so far :) Edit: Oh, I'm playing this on Linux with Wine. Works nice,...

I haven't found one either. Build my own with lvl 20 alchemy

I'm against increasing the maximum level. Eschalon is not about leveling and power gaming, it is about role playing. With higher levels, one can build a "super character" that is capable of "everything". Level 20 sets a limit on this and you have to pick your skills wisely. This ...

It is explained in the tutorial in the category "farming". They teach you how to produce crops which then can be brewed into beer or wine or whatever.

There is a beginner tutorial at
http://www.dwarffortresswiki.net/index. ... t_fortress

The learning curve is very steady, with the tutorial I was at least able to keep my dwarfs alive :)

Dont be frustrated, the motto "losing is fun" isnt there for nothing :)

Yes, unfortunately. The author is highly interested in an mac and linux port, but he doesn't know how to archive this without opening his code to others. However, it does run fine in wine on my system. I guess wine is available on mac too. Dwarf Fortress is a very nice game, would be a shame if you ...

I've been playing Dwarf Fortress for quite a while now. I like the ASCII graphics.

However, there is a graphics version of Dwarf Fortress. You can find it at http://www.rpgcodex.net/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=21883

Phew, that were a lot of ideas ;) Anyway, I don't think that making "unique" weapons that are better than all others would be good for the game. That makes Eschalon too "Blizzard-ish" for my taste. It would be just like Diablo or WoW were you're basically only hunting for that-on...

Seems to be a problem with your OpenGL drivers. I only know Gentoo, so I don't know how to tinker with this on Fedora :?

I like this idea very much. You could even purchase different camping sets from the merchants. The first may be some sort of sleeping bag, then a tent, a tent with fire etc... Each one with greater capabilities than the other, for example the tent heals you faster than the sleeping bag, the fire mig...
