Re: The New Bard's Tale

I have some oblique insight into the new M&M games, and I don't expect any of the issues from those to appear in this. :)

Re: Another isometric, turn-based, old-school RPG

Last time I saw Antharion back in 2012 I gave it a brief look and then forgot about it. This weekend I did some reading, watched some videos and it comes across as a charming game. I ended up pre-ordering so thank you for posting about it. Hope it turns out as much fun as it looks. :) I like sharin...

Re: Another isometric, turn-based, old-school RPG

I backed the Kickstarter, so I'll be giving a little report when I've had a chance to play it. The graphics look a little more on the whimsical side than Eschalon or any of the Spiderweb stuff. I'll be intrigued to see how the limited light/visibility stuff plays out technically, and see how well th...

Another isometric, turn-based, old-school RPG

Looks like Antharion, another old-school RPG funded through Kickstarter a good while back, is going to be officially released in a couple weeks. http://orphicsoftware.com

The New Bard's Tale

So, has anybody else been watching or contributed to the Kickstarter for the new Bard's Tale sequel? Looks cool to me. Who here hasn't lost hours to these original games?

Re: Pillars of Eternity

I didnt like it at all. I couldnt even play it. I have a 1 year old pc which runs just about any and it was too slow. On top of that the infinity engine is better and has much more cool graphics Imo. I made a character and was enthused by the choices. Got through a 3 minute wait time for journal sc...

Wow. That's...

Well, with that kind of luck on the roll, hopefully you'll get much better luck through the game. ;-)

Re: Pillars of Eternity

Pillars of Eternity is currently on sale at Steam with 33% off. Have you finished the game yet Kreador Freeaxe ? I haven't. I put it on hold while I waited for them to fix a fun-killing bug (stuff disappearing from the inventories of companions if you leave them at the Stronghold) and life has gott...

I've seen this, too. I didn't worry about it too much as I'm more interested in what Thomas is doing next.

Re: Picaroon Fire Anachrids

Just for closure, my ranger build was fine. Breezed thru the minotaurs including the general (who I didn't even realize who it was until halfway thru the fight). For straight up damage, Ranger is definitely the most powerful build in Book II. There's a bit of a nerf in Book III the way equipment we...

Just remember when walking on lava to quaff an elemental resistance potion and remove your shoes and pants. :)

Re: Thank you all

Why is the literally the only part of the entire message anyone seems to have read? It's certainly the only part I got a response to (notably more than 24 hours after the post)... It seems everyone wants to contradict me. Other than that though, you guys are great. :D We're curmudgeons. It's our na...

Re: Did you like the ending?

I rather like the way it ended and the uncertainty. I've noted previously that the one-way path TO the ending comes at a point that makes it too easy to have missed a lot of the content of the game, so I wished that BW had put in a warning there that you feel like whatever happens next, there would ...
