Re: Picaroon Fire Anachrids

Just for closure, my ranger build was fine. Breezed thru the minotaurs including the general (who I didn't even realize who it was until halfway thru the fight). For straight up damage, Ranger is definitely the most powerful build in Book II. There's a bit of a nerf in Book III the way equipment we...

Re: Picaroon Fire Anachrids

Just remember when walking on lava to quaff an elemental resistance potion and remove your shoes and pants. :)

Re: Thank you all

Why is the literally the only part of the entire message anyone seems to have read? It's certainly the only part I got a response to (notably more than 24 hours after the post)... It seems everyone wants to contradict me. Other than that though, you guys are great. :D We're curmudgeons. It's our na...

Re: Did you like the ending?

I rather like the way it ended and the uncertainty. I've noted previously that the one-way path TO the ending comes at a point that makes it too easy to have missed a lot of the content of the game, so I wished that BW had put in a warning there that you feel like whatever happens next, there would ...

Re: Pillars of Eternity

Graphics is awesome, but the gameplay is 3/10 because of the utterly catastrophic combat solution they use and it becomes apparent when fighting with a full party and lots of monsters its a chaotic mess, IMO. I can't make myself to play this game even after the patches. Maybe when a MEGA MOD comes ...

Re: Pillars of Eternity

I'm probably still only half way through the game. It's pretty big and still a lot of fun, but you'll want to wait until they've killed a couple more really obnoxious bugs. The next update should get rid of an issue that took away my enjoyment for a week: if you left inventory on your companions but...

Um, Alundar is a psychotic warlord. I don't think he worries about such niceties as giving you enough time to solve his riddles. ;-)

Re: Bringing back the fun of exploration to Eschalon

Honestly, I've always wondered why someone (who has more free time than me) hasn't come up with a script to generate random dungeons for Eschalon (1,2 or 3). Seems like it would be fairly simple to say you want a dungeon X by Y in size with a difficulty of Z, and have a script generate a dungeon wi...

Re: Pillars of Eternity

Yes, it very much has a Baldur's Gate feel. Some really cool classes (Monks, Ciphers, etc) with some very unique play styles. I think the balance on some of the character traits is a bit off (some that are important for certain class builds don't get used very much for other things in the game, and ...

Pillars of Eternity

Anyone else been playing Pillars of Eternity since it came out? This was one of the first Kickstarters I backed among video games, and the third one to actually be released.

I'm having fun with it. I enjoy some of the interesting class choices. Lots to explore.

Free stuff? Did someone say free stuff? :)

Also, BW, the link to this thread from the Basilisk Games front page appears borked.

Re: Welcome to the new Website!

Screen Schots is spelt incorrectly on this page. On this page I would give the links for Eschalon: Book III names rather than Link #1. I haven't checked the links to see if they work because I'm at work on a slow computer. Eschalon: Book III – Full version with demo area Eschalon: Book II – Full Ve...

Updated logo. Pulling away from the "exclusively fantasy" look since we want to explore sci-fi and another genres of games.
So the Basilisk will get a light saber? ;-)
