I add the option to keep the random seed set because that's how I played Book I anyway. I don't want to be bothered saving and reloading all the time just to get more loot. What a hassle! As for playing hardcore, I'll try that eventually. Sounds really hard though, but I'm up to the challenge ...

How much Lore do you need?
I just would like to tell you that I'm near the end of the game. My intelligence is 14 +3 from hat = 17 and my lore is 10 +2 +2 from rings = 14. With that I thought I would be able to identify anything, but no! I just found 5 items I can't identify. :shock: I'm so excited!!! They must be pretty good ...

The first lever you pulled opened a gate on the other side of the graveyard. Explore through there and eventually you will find another lever.

All I know are these magic numbers: 7, 12, 20 and 22.
The first three are levels needed for potion making each one giving a higher strength and the last number is for imbuing at +3. I don't know what you need for imbuing at +1 and +2.

Okay, I agree.
You need the "not only..., but also..." but the "as well" is unnecessary.

I still recommend you move to the real 1.03 version though. Playing with a beta version is unsupported and you never know what issues you may run into.

Because you are not the first to report this problem, I've posted this issue in the support forum to be addressed. From the other forum I see that a lot of people are having trouble getting Sparrow's loot because it gets dropped in a place that is unretrievable. Just thought I'd mention it here in the list of bugs so that it can be addressed.

Shops don't permanently stock anything; it's all random. That said, I have found plenty of +2 alchemy rings in my game. To make up for some missing words, here's an abundance:

I see nothing wrong with this sentence. It is grammatically correct IMHO and describes the feat ...

I believe the late changes that were made from the last beta version were these:
- fixed preset characters so they work
- if you have two of the same ring you may run into a bug with swapping equipment
- maybe the HP and MP calculation at level up was changed that late too
