Re: The State of the Basilisk, Summer 2017
Thanks for the update, BW. I'm looking forward to the sci-fi RPG, and Zodiac, too, when it's finally ready.

Re: Best PS4 games fo 2017
I intend to get to Horizon Dawn Zero soon, myself. Right now I've got my hands full with Persona 5.

Re: What features would you like in a Sci-Fi RPG?
I like sci-fi that's hopeful about the future, like Star Trek. I get tired of the whole bleak, cynical distopian future. I like realistic science, but I'm willing to overlook the more magical/fantastic elements if it serves the setting or story (like teleporters, FTL drive) or is just really cool (l...

Re: The King Of Old Here?
My dad just turned 60 yesterday and he still plays FPS games on his ten year old computer. I forget which ones, as I'm an RPG player and never had any interest in FPS games. Medal of Duty or something like that. It's a really old game, as nothing newer will run on such an antique piece of hard...
Re: Oddworld
Wait, do you mean the original Oddworld, Abe's Oddysee? I still have that game for PS1. I haven't played it in awhile now, but I remember it being quite fun.

I can't wait to see what you come up with for this new game. Based on the screenshots, it's sure going to be different from Eschalon, to be sure.
Re: Fallout 4
I'm actually replaying the original Fallout right now, and I like it's combat system. The only time it's annoying is if there are lots of non-combatants in the area (like if you are fighting in a populated city), because you have to sit and wait for each and every one of them to take their turn, whi...

Re: Prismatic Maelstrom Banned
Sometimes you just have to ask yourself, "Is this really the hill I'm willing to die on?" I suspect PM never asked himself that question.
Anyway, I think anyone who has spent time in these forums understands your decision BW. I'd probably do the same thing in your shoes.

So like Eye of the Beholder then? Sweet!BasiliskWrangler wrote:The only thing I will say is that it is being designed as a party-based game with a first-person perspective.

I can't believe I still haven't played this one yet. I really need to start making headway through my massive backlog.

Re: Pillars of Eternity
I've been playing it since release, which I suppose goes to show how slow I am at finishing these sorts of games nowadays. It's a great deal of fun, though. It really feels like BG3.
And it does have pause play, in fact the combat is centered around the pause button like the old BG games, I'd say.

This is the case of all phpBB forums, as far as I know: When you send a PM to someone, it remains in your Outbox until the recipient reads it. Once the recipient reads your PM, it is then transferred to your Sent box.

Re: Difficulty of Book III
I'm actually having a fairly difficult time (although it is getting a little easier, now that I'm higher level), but I am playing a swordsman with no magic (save for the level 1 Bless that comes with the Virtuous axiom).
