Re: Book III Mod: Alchemist's Tower in Moonrise
You're right, the fence is invisible because of the isometric rendering. Might be a good idea to either make an explosion anywhere in the crypt open the stairs or make the teleporter plainly visible beside/behind the fence. Then people would know what to do. Nice consideration to leave a keg nearby!

Re: Book III Mod: Alchemist's Tower in Moonrise
In the same boat, got past the first gate easy enough and now have Alberts leg but what to do next.
I found the small enclosure that accepts his femur at the W end of old Moonrise, but blowing up the headstone in it (as per the instructions) doesn't seem to open anything either there or at the ...

Re: Book III Mod: Alchemist's Tower in Moonrise
Heather, thank you for all this work! I'm about to test the mod but can't decipher the clue to opening the gates. The sum of lucky numbers is 148, so one number is missing. Can you supply helpful hint?

Re: Bugs/Errors/Exploits/Typos/Glitches (possible spoilers)
Going back to secret areas, I think I still haven't discovered the second one in Ormentor (#15). I found the chest (#14). The illusionary walls in the maze don't count as a secret area, I think (I'm revisiting the region and have forgotten if they do). Could anyone supply description and/or ...

Re: 3 secret areas, a crux and an escape (spoilers)
Spotter Shroom, thanks for the list! I've definitely not found Secret Area 4 in Rockhammer mine -- is it on level 1 or 2? Coordinates would be great!

Please post it -- you can use the spoiler fig leaf if you like. Thanks for compiling it!
On a related item, I think the maximum number of quests is 27, but two of them (linked to the Akadai Kingspawn) are mutually exclusive.

I cannot fathom why all RPG games allow only two rings, especially since most rings are rather weak as extra oomph goes.

Re: Strong feeling of "half of the game cut before release"
I played all three Eschalon games for the exploration and side quests. In this respect, Book 3 does not disappoint -- especially the clever secret areas -- and remains imaginative and atmospheric. There's a sense of a coherent universe here and I, for one, don't mind the mingling of SF and fantasy ...

Re: 3 secret areas, a crux and an escape (spoilers)
Can someone point me to the list of secret areas you're discussing? Many thanks!
Also, I count 26 total quests. Does that sound right? Here's the list:
Quest list
1. A Crux in Hand
2. Into the Wilds
3. A Hammer for Seamus (wrecked ship, mine lv 2)
4. Exterminator, at Your Service
5. Goblins ...

Re: Rockhammer mine level 2
Thank you! On the same level, there's a closed section right near where they have the name of the pit boss (Kronus) that contains chests and a red ceramic holder. Is there a way to open that door? Blasting doesn't work and I think I clicked on every available lever. Again, many thanks in advance!

A good way to safeguard against this is to save just before looting. If you see a note in red saying "X witnessed you commit a crime" while looting, reload the save.

Rockhammer mine level 2
I went through the game once, finding 25 of the 30 secret areas. I'm doing a second pass now and cannot discover/remember how to open the 2nd level of Rockhammer mine. I've killed all the scorpions and reported it to the gruff mine manager, but that seems not enough to open the doors that lead ...
